Polystichum is one of the largest and most taxonomically complex fern genera in China. The evolutionary relationships of Chinese Polystichum and related genera, and the relationship between our Polystichum phylogeny and ecogeographic distribution, were tested by the use of DNA sequence data.

Molecular phylogeny of Incarvillea (Bignoniaceae) based on ITS and trnL-F sequences.
American journal of botany, 2012Incarvillea is a herbaceous and temperate member of Bignoniaceae, previously divided into four subgenera, Niedzwedzkia, Amphicome, Incarvillea, and Pteroscleris. Niedzwedzkia and Amphicome have in the past been treated as independent genera. Different relationships have been proposed for the four subgenera.

AbstractThe genera of tribe Sipaneeae have been either included within tribe Rondeletieae or treated as its sister tribe, and historically placed in subfamily Cinchonoideae. The herbaceous habit was the only character used to separate Sipaneeae from Rondeletieae.

Phylogeny of korean rubus (rosaceae) based on its (nrDNA) and trnL/F intergenic region (cpdna)
Journal of Plant Biology, 2006We examined the phylogeny of the genusRubus in Korea using an internal transcribed spacer (ITS) of the nuclear ribosomal DNA and a trnL-trnF (trnL/F) intergenic region of the chloroplast DNA. In all, 21 ingroup species (1.2 kb for each species) were analyzed using parsimony, resulting in 672 aligned sequences from ITS, and 502 bases with trnL/F ...

The aim of this study was to provide a molecular perspective on the taxonomy of Warburgia across most of its range, including South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. An accurate taxonomic treatment of Warburgia is important for the construction of sound conservation strategy, as a number of the proposed species and subspecies ...

The nuclear encoded internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region and the plastid encoded trnL-F region were sequenced for 25 populations of Korthalsella, a genus of reduced, monoecious, Old World misletoes. The molecular study confirms the hypothesis that branch shape and cladotaxy (the arrangement of branches with respect to their parent axis) are ...

The genus Ranunculus L., with a worldwide distribution, is the largest member of the Ranunculaceae. Here, nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequence data and chloroplast trnLF sequence data were used to analyze phylogenetic relationships among members of the annual and perennial (Group Praemorsa, Group Rhizomatosa, Group Grumosa and ...
