Characterization of CDOM in reservoirs and its linkage to trophic status assessment across China using spectroscopic analysis

Journal of Hydrology, 2019
Chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) represents the optically active component of the DOM pool, and originates from both allochthonous and autochthonous sources.

Inland water's trophic status classification based on machine learning and remote sensing data

, 2020
In this work, we tested machine learning algorithms in classifying waters in a reservoir cascade with basis in trophic state. The classification was done through remote sensing reflectance (Rrs) measurements collected in situ.

Trophic status of fresh-water lakes in China

Russian Journal of General Chemistry, 2011
In the article the trophic status of thirty one fresh-water lakes of China was described. Four lakes are characterized as mesotrophic, seventeen lakes have eutrotrophic status, and ten lakes are hypertrophic. Critical phosphorus loading for five biggest fresh-water lakes was calculated.

Pituitary Trophic Status as a Tumorigenic Determinant

2007
Pituitary tumors are commonly encountered benign adenomas. Pituitary cell trophic status is an important determinant of pituitary adenoma development. Hormone secreting anterior pituitary cells exhibit slow turnover rates. Subsequent postnatal alterations in pituitary size are determined throughout the lifespan by both extrinsic and intrinsic factors ...

Trophic status affects the distribution of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the water columns, surface sediments, and plankton of twenty Chinese lakes.

Environmental Pollution, 2019
The influence of trophic status on the distribution of hydrophobic organic contaminants (HOCs) in different subtropical shallow waters at large spatial scales remains largely unknown.

EVALUATING RESERVOIR TROPHIC STATUS: THE TVA APPROACH

Lake and Reservoir Management, 1984
ABSTRACT TVA tributary and mainstem reservoirs show generalized differences in morphometry, hydraulics, nutrient loads, and response to nutrient conditions. Neither type of reservoir is comparable to the natural lakes on which classical eutrophication studies have been based.

Assessment of Trophic Status for Nansi Lake Using Trophic State Index and Phytoplankton Community

2010 4th International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering, 2010
The present study was to investigate the trophic state of Nansi Lake, a shallow lake employed in the South-to-North Water Diversion Project in China. Based on water transparency, total phosphorus (TP) and chlorophyll a (chl a) concentration, the modified method of Carlson's trophic state index (TSIM) was applied to assess the lake's trophic status. The

Application of the Carlson’s Trophic State Index for the Assessment of Trophic Status of Lake Simbi Ecosystem, a Deep Alkaline-Saline Lake in Kenya

Social Science Research Network, 2019
Eutrophication is increasingly becoming the greatest threat to the ecological health of global water resources hence constant screening of the trophic state of these ecosystems is important.

Phytoplankton communities in the crater lakes of western Uganda, and their indicator species in relation to lake trophic status

, 2019
The freshwater crater lakes of western Uganda represent an important natural resource for the region’s rural communities, but their capacity to provide drinking-quality water and other ecosystem services is being threatened by rapidly intensifying human ...

An approach towards quantification of ecosystem trophic status and health through ecological network analysis applied in Hooghly-Matla estuarine system, India

Ecological Indicators, 2019
The structure and function of food web of Hooghly-Matla estuarine system (HMES) including Sundarban mangroves is studied to assess the health of the system. HMES, provides shelter and make a home to many economically important shell and fin fishes.
