The Carbon Trap: Fragmentation, Accounting Hegemony, and Justice in Global Carbon Governance
ABSTRACT Carbon accounting is increasingly treated as the technical foundation of global climate action, yet the rules through which emissions are measured, converted, attributed, and disclosed remain fragmented across national inventories, corporate reporting standards, supply‐chain boundaries, and trade‐related policy instruments.

Impact of Environmental Microparticles on Insect Olfaction
ABSTRACT Terrestrial insects underpin key ecosystem services, including pollination, herbivory regulation, decomposition, nutrient cycling, and disease control. These functions depend on chemical communication that guides insects to food, mates, hosts, shelters, and oviposition sites while helping them avoid threats.

Impact of the assimilation of ozone from the Tropospheric Emission Spectrometer on surface ozone across North America [PDF]
We examine the impact of assimilating ozone observations from the Tropospheric Emission Spectrometer (TES) on North American surface ozone abundances in the GEOS-Chem model in August 2006.

In this study, we examined whether realistic ozone concentrations can interfere with sexual communication in the insect pest Plutella xylostella, the diamondback moth. Ozone exposure caused a degradation of pheromone components, leading to significant changes in blend composition and component ratios.

The Small Mobile Ozone lidar (SMOL) - Development and validation [PDF]
Ozone profile measurements at high temporal and vertical resolution are needed to better understand physical processes driving tropospheric ozone variability and to validate the tropospheric ozone measurements from spaceborne missions such as TEMPO ...

IASI observations of seasonal and day-to-day variations of tropospheric ozone over three highly populated areas of China: Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong [PDF]
IASI observations of tropospheric ozone over the Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong areas during one year (2008) have been analysed, demonstrating the capability of space-borne infrared nadir measurements to probe seasonal and even day-to-day variations of ...

Tropospheric ozone and El Niño–Southern Oscillation: Influence of atmospheric dynamics, biomass burning emissions, and future climate change [PDF]
We investigate how El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) influences tropospheric ozone and its precursors in a coupled climate-chemistry model. As shown in similar studies, tropospheric column ozone (TCO) decreases in the central and east Pacific and ...

Radiative forcing in the 21st century due to ozone changes in the troposphere and the lower stratosphere [PDF]
Radiative forcing due to changes in ozone is expected for the 21st century. An assessment on changes in the tropospheric oxidative state through a model intercomparison ("OxComp'') was conducted for the IPCC Third Assessment Report (IPCC-TAR).

ABSTRACT Tropospheric ozone (O3) reduces crop productivity, but the sites at which ozone alters photosynthetic electron transport remain unclear. We tested whether acute exposure to O3 shifts the dominant site of electron transport limitation in a cultivar‐specific manner, rather than causing a uniform decline in PSII function.

Tropospheric ozone as a fungal elicitor
Tropospheric ozone has been proven to trigger biochemical plant responses that are similar to the ones induced by an attack of fungal pathogens,i.e. it resembles fungal elicitors. This suggests that ozone can represent a valid tool for the study of stress responses and induction of resistance to pathogens.
