Asymptotic Spectral Measures, Quantum Mechanics, and E-theory [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 226 (2002) 41-60, 2001
We study the relationship between POV-measures in quantum theory and asymptotic morphisms in the operator algebra E-theory of Connes-Higson. This is done by introducing the theory of "asymptotic" PV-measures and their integral correspondence with positive asymptotic morphisms on locally compact spaces.

Seasonal Movements and Spatial Overlap of Juvenile and Adult Lake Sturgeon in Lake Champlain

open access: yesTransactions of the American Fisheries Society, Volume 151, Issue 6, Page 666-681, November 2022., 2022
Abstract The lake sturgeon Acipenser fulvescens is a large, long‐lived, potamodromous species that is widely distributed throughout freshwater systems in the central part of North America. In this study, we used acoustic telemetry to examine seasonal distribution and movement patterns of endangered Lake Sturgeon in Lake Champlain, Vermont.

Application of intelligent packaging for meat products: A systematic review

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 9, Issue 1, Page 481-493, January 2023., 2023
Today, in response to consumer demand and market trends, the development of new packaging with better performance such as intelligent packaging has become more important. In this review showed that the intelligent packaging presents several benefits compared to traditional packaging (e.g., antimicrobial, antioxidant and shelf life extension) at the ...

US employment exposure to domestic and foreign tariff changes under NAFTA

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
Abstract Literature examining the effects of changes in trade agreements and import competition on US employment and wages has focused primarily on non‐agricultural industries and changes in US import tariffs. We propose a method for measuring worker exposure to changes in agricultural tariffs using a newly developed county‐level dataset of employment ...

Sugar‐sensing swodkoreceptors and swodkocrine signaling

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Sugar‐sensing swodkoreceptors that trigger swodkocrine signaling. Abstract Sugars are one of the major metabolites and are essential for nucleic acid synthesis and energy production. In addition, sugars can act as signaling molecules. To study sugar signaling at the systemic level, there is an urgent need to systematically identify sugar‐sensing ...

Aryl‐Bridged Polysilsesquioxanes as Support for Aqueous Phase Catalytic Phenol Hydrogenation: Effect of Hydrophobicity and Organic Content of the Support

open access: yesChemCatChem, Accepted Article.
In this research, aryl‐bridged polysilsesquioxane (ABPS), an organosilica material, is used as support to synthesize an efficient palladium (Pd) catalyst for catalytic hydrogenation of phenol to cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol. Techniques such as N2 physisorption, NMR, IR, TEM, CO chemisorption were employed to characterize the support.

The scope and structure of the production and catch of fish in Serbia in the period from 2006. to 2012. [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinarski Glasnik, 2015
Fish represents a significant source of animal proteins in the diet of people in a large part of the world. The market in Serbia is supplied from its own production (carp and trout fish ponds) and catch from open waters.

Effect of the Aromatic Content of Organosilica Supports on Aqueous Phase Phenol Hydrogenation

open access: yesChemCatChem, Accepted Article.
In this work, bridged polysilsesquioxanes with varying aromatic content were used as catalyst supports with active metal palladium (Pd) for aqueous phase phenol hydrogenation. Alkoxysilane precursors, bis (trimethoxy silyl ethyl) benzene (BTEB) and bis (tri methoxy silyl) ethane (BTE) were co‐condensed by sol‐gel synthesis to vary the aromatic content ...

Landscape transcriptomics as a tool for addressing global change effects across diverse species

open access: yesMolecular Ecology Resources, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Landscape transcriptomics is an emerging field studying how genome‐wide expression patterns reflect dynamic landscape‐scale environmental drivers, including habitat, weather, climate, and contaminants, and the subsequent effects on organismal function. This field is benefitting from advancing and increasingly accessible molecular technologies,

Etude préliminaire sur l'utilisation de l'Aqui'S® comme anesthésique pour la manipulation et l'échantillonnage de truites arc-en-ciel (Oncorhynchus mykiss) et de truites fario (Salmo trutta)

open access: yesKnowledge and Management of Aquatic Ecosystems, 1998
