The Cambridge True Triaxial Apparatus
1988In true triaxial apparatus, samples of soil are subjected to three independent principal stresses and strains. Such apparatus can readily be used for controlled exploration of principal stress or principal strain space to provide information concerning the anisotropic response of the soil to aid the development of constitutive relations.
