Electrospun Composite Lavandula Angustifolia Mill. Extract/PVP Nanofibers
This study presents novel fast‐dissolving nanofibers electrospun from polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) loaded with crude lavender extract. The fibers form an amorphous solid dispersion, disintegrate within 1.5 s, and release 70%–90% of their payload within 5 min, significantly outperforming the pure extract.

A finite-strain hyperviscoplastic model and undrained triaxial tests of peat
This paper presents a finite-strain hyperviscoplastic constitutive model within a thermodynamically consistent framework for peat which was categorised as a material with both rate-dependent and thermodynamic equilibrium hysteresis based on the data ...

Separable triaxial potential-density pairs in MOND
We study mass models that correspond to MOND (triaxial) potentials for which the Hamilton-Jacobi equation separates in ellipsoidal coordinates. The problem is first discussed in the simpler case of deep-MOND systems, and then generalized to the full MOND

Memory of Stress History in Single and Two Surface Plasticity for Granular Soils
ABSTRACT Recent studies have identified limitations in Manzari and Dafalias' 1997 and 2004 sand plasticity models, particularly regarding one‐way unloading/reloading and ratcheting loading modes. These models are widely accepted as bounding surface models in the geotechnical engineering community; thus, concerns have arisen about a fundamental lack of ...

ABSTRACT Natural soils often exhibit clearly anisotropic mechanical properties, yet this characteristic is frequently overlooked in numerical models due to the practical challenges of determining anisotropic parameters. As a result, the influence of anisotropy remains difficult to anticipate, and engineers have limited tools to incorporate it into ...

Bayesian Neural Network Prediction and Uncertainty Analysis of Bio‐Cemented Soil Strength
ABSTRACT Microbially induced carbonate precipitation (MICP) has emerged as a promising ground improvement technique, with MICP‐treated soils exhibiting substantial enhancements in strength. However, experimental results revealed significant variability in strength outcomes of MICP‐treated soils, even under identical treatment conditions and soil ...

Failure Criterion‐Based Bead Optimization of a Wind Turbine Blade Root Section
ABSTRACT This study presents a bead‐based optimization framework for fiber composite wind turbine blades, employing the Tsai–Wu failure criterion as the structural performance measure. The objective is to design an optimal transition geometry between an existing blade and a root section with 20% smaller diameter, while preserving the original material ...
