Vitamin D levels and biomarkers of male fecundity: A study from the Danish National Birth Cohort

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Vitamin D is metabolised throughout the male reproductive system, suggesting a direct regulatory role of vitamin D in male reproduction. Objectives To investigate the association between plasma vitamin D levels at sperm ejaculation and during spermatogenesis and biomarkers of male fecundity in young men.

Differences in prediction of adverse perinatal outcome in term pregnancies by choice of fetal growth reference: A validation study

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
In this study of 1 126 059 pregnancies, we find evidence of comparable predictive ability for adverse perinatal outcomes across four fetal growth references, but with notable differences in sensitivity and false positive rate (FPR). The WHO reference demonstrated balanced performance in detecting at‐risk fetuses, suggesting its suitability for clinical

Therapy after therapy: Entry rates into subsequent psychological treatment among patients receiving therapist‐guided internet‐delivered or face‐to‐face psychotherapy

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives Despite numerous psychotherapy trials, knowledge on service‐system efficiency in terms of return to treatment is limited, especially regarding internet‐delivered cognitive behavioural therapy (iCBT). We estimated the hazard ratio (HR) of subsequent psychological treatment over several years following the initial psychological ...

Long‐term quality of life in patients with bladder cancer following radical cystectomy

open access: yesBJU International, Volume 135, Issue 4, Page 675-683, April 2025.
Objectives To investigate changes in quality of life (QoL) up to 8 years after radical cystectomy (RC) and compare QoL after RC with a gender‐ and age‐matched Dutch normative population. Furthermore, we aimed to identify patient characteristics associated with QoL and QoL trajectories after RC.

Incidence and prognostic implications of PSA relapse after radical radiotherapy for prostate cancer: a population‐based study

open access: yesBJU International, EarlyView.
Objective To estimate risk of prostate‐specific antigen (PSA) relapse after radical radiotherapy (RT) for prostate cancer (PCa), and risk of PCa death after relapse according to Gleason score and time to relapse. Patients and Methods Men in the National Prostate Cancer Register of Sweden who underwent primary radical RT in 2007–2024 were followed until

Modelling non‐linear psychological processes: Reviewing and evaluating non‐parametric approaches and their applicability to intensive longitudinal data

open access: yesBritish Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Psychological concepts are increasingly understood as complex dynamic systems that change over time. To study these complex systems, researchers are increasingly gathering intensive longitudinal data (ILD), revealing non‐linear phenomena such as asymptotic growth, mean‐level switching, and regulatory oscillations.
