Further Properties of Quantum Spline Spaces
We construct q-B-splines using a new form of truncated power functions. We give basic properties to show that q-B-splines form a basis for quantum spline spaces.

Pemodelan Regresi Spline Truncated Untuk Data Longitudinal ( Studi Kasus : Harga Saham Bulanan Pada Kelompok Saham Perbankan Periode Januari 2009 – Desember 2015 ) [PDF]
Stocks are securities that can be bought and sold by individuals or institutions as a sign of ownership of any person nor bussines entity within a company. From the value of market capitalization, the stock is divided into 3 groups: large capitalization (

Real-time extraction of the Madden-Julian oscillation using empirical mode decomposition and statistical forecasting with a VARMA model [PDF]
A simple guide to the new technique of empirical mode decomposition (EMD) in a meteorological-climate forecasting context is presented. A single application of EMD to a time series essentially acts as a local high-pass filter.

Partial hypothesis testing of truncated spline model in nonparametric regression [PDF]
Nonparametric regression is a method used to analyze the relation between response variables and predictor variables that do not follow a particular pattern. One common approach used in nonparametric regression is truncated spline, because of its high flexibility and good visual interpretation.

Amyloidogenic Peptide Fragments Designed From Bacterial Collagen‐like Proteins Form Hydrogel
This study identified amyloidogenic sequence motifs in bacterial collagen‐like proteins and exploited these to design peptides that self‐assemble into β‐sheet fibers and form hydrogels. One hydrogel supported healthy fibroblast growth, showing promise for biocompatible materials. Our work demonstrates that bacterial sequences can be harnessed to create

A fractional B-spline collocation method for the numerical solution of fractional predator-prey models [PDF]
We present a collocation method based on fractional B-splines for the solution of fractional differential problems. The key-idea is to use the space generated by the fractional B-splines, i.e., piecewise polynomials of noninteger degree, as approximating

Multi‐level Bézier extraction of truncated hierarchical B‐splines for isogeometric analysis
AbstractMultivariate basis splines (B‐splines) and Non‐uniform rational B‐splines (NURBS) lack adaptivity due to their tensor product structure. Truncated hierarchical B‐splines (THB‐splines) provide a solution for this. THB‐splines organize the parameter space into a hierarchical structure, which enables efficient approximation and representation of ...

A two‐phase workflow (OFAT screening followed by central composite design) maps how processing variables tune PFCE‐PLGA nanoparticle size, dispersity, surface charge, loading, and 19F‐MRI signal. In situ, time‐resolved synchrotron SAXS tracks albumin‐corona growth on intact dispersions and reveals PFCE‐dependent adsorption pathways.

Simultaneous probability statements for Bayesian P-splines [PDF]
P-splines are a popular approach for fitting nonlinear effects of continuous covariates in semiparametric regression models. Recently, a Bayesian version for P-splines has been developed on the basis of Markov chain Monte Carlo simulation techniques for
