Ecological aspects of South American trypanosomiasis: VI. Permanence of Triatoma sordida after environmental alteration and its possibles relation to dispersion

open access: yes, 1974

Ecological aspects of South American trypanosomiasis: XIX - the domiciliation development of local triatominae populations in the Panstrongylus megistus endemic center

open access: yes, 1983

Ecological aspects of South American trypanosomiasis: V. research on spontaneous sylvatic triatomids colonization in artificial ecotopes with special reference to Triatoma sordida

open access: yes, 1973
Attempts to detect artificial ecotopes invasion by sylvatic triatomids bugs are related. Experimental chickenhouses were built. Inside areas with natural populations of Triatoma sordida and T. arthurneivai. Invasive action of both triatomids was observed but only T. sordida colonized spontaneously in a definitive manner.

Ecological aspects of South American Trypanosomiasis: X - Populational data on colonies of Panstrogylus megistus and Triatoma sordida spontaneously developed in artificial ecotopes

open access: yes, 1977
Spontaneous colonizations of Panstrogylus magistus and Triatoma sordida in experimental fowl houses made possible the stage-frequency analysis so as to obtain some populational parameters. So adult mobility, average stage period, daily and stage survival rates were estimated.
