The Berrichon du Cher breed is a French meat sheep breed, specialized in production of high-quality meat. The demand of the EU market for the sheep meat is focused, especially in the western countries, on the high quality cuts of the sheep meat and the demand very low on unspecialized meat breeds like the local Tsigai breed.

Biochemical parameters and blood bactericidal activity of young Tsigai sheep
The results of the study of blood serum biochemistry and bactericidal activity of the herd replacements sheep of the Tsigai breed, grown in the Prisivash lowland of the Crimean Peninsula are presented. Blood samples were processed in certified laboratories of the organizations of the Republic of Crimea in 2020-2022.
