Asymptotically Schroedinger Space-Times: TsT Transformations and Thermodynamics

open access: yes, 2010
We study the complete class of 5-dimensional asymptotically Schroedinger space-times that can be obtained as the TsT transform of a 5-dimensional asymptotically AdS space-time. Based on this we identify a conformal class of Schroedinger boundaries.

Antenatal screening for TB disease: a systematic review and meta-analysis

open access: yesIJTLD Open
OBJECTIVES: TB disease during pregnancy is associated with poor maternal and neonatal outcomes, and is a leading non-obstetric cause of maternal death. However, optimal detection strategies remain uncertain.

Molecular Typing and Variations in Amount of tst Gene Expression of TSST-1-Producing Clinical Staphylococcus aureus Isolates

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2019
The toxic shock syndrome toxin-1 (TSST-1), encoded by tst gene, has been proposed to cause staphylococcal toxic shock syndrome (TSS) in a susceptible host, which highlights the need to evaluate the level of tst gene expression and molecular genetic ...

Improved production of cytotoxic thailanstatins A and D through metabolic engineering of Burkholderia thailandensis MSMB43 and pilot scale fermentation

open access: yesSynthetic and Systems Biotechnology, 2016
Thailanstatin A (TST-A) is a potent antiproliferative natural product discovered by our group from Burkholderia thailandensis MSMB43 through a genome-guided approach.

Intracranial Hemorrhage in the TST Trial

open access: yesStroke, 2022
Background and Purpose: Although statins are effective in secondary prevention of ischemic stroke, they are also associated with an increase risk of intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) in certain conditions. In the TST trial (Treat Stroke to Target), we prespecified an exploration of the predictors of incident ICH.

Non‐Invasive Brain Targeted Delivery of Cannabidiol for Alleviating Neuroinflammatory Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The glucose‐functionalized nanoparticles (GNPs) are developed for the brain‐targeted delivery of cannabidiol (CBD). GNPs bypass the blood‐brain barrier (BBB) via glucose transporter‐1 (GLUT‐1) and release CBD in response to reactive oxygen species (ROS).

Derivation of a true (t->0+) quantum transition-state theory. II. Recovery of the exact quantum rate in the absence of recrossing

open access: yes, 2013
In Part I [J. Chem. Phys. 138, 084108 (2013)] we derived a quantum transition-state theory by taking the t->0+ (short-time) limit of a new form of quantum flux-side time-correlation function containing a ring-polymer dividing surface.

Yang-Baxter deformations and string dualities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We further study integrable deformations of the AdS$_5\times$S$^5$ superstring by following the Yang-Baxter sigma model approach with classical $r$-matrices satisfying the classical Yang-Baxter equation (CYBE). Deformed string backgrounds specified by $r$

Multimodal Actuation and Environment Adaptive Strategies of Bio‐Inspired Micro/Nanorobots in Precision Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
An introduction for multidrive and environment‐adaptive micro/nanorobotics: design and fabrication strategies, intelligent actuation, and their applications. Various intelligent actuation approaches—magnetic, acoustic, optical, chemical, and biological—can be synergistically designed to enhance flexibility and adaptive behavior for precision medicine ...
