Study on Location Plan of Temporary Shelter for Tsunami Disaster in Kuta Bay of Central Lombok
Historical record showed in 1977, tsunami attacked Lombok and caused extensive damages due to tectonic activity. Kuta Bay located in the southern area of Lombok has a high risk of earthquake and tsunami, thus mitigation plan on tsunami attack is very ...

Performance Assessment of NAMI DANCE in Tsunami Evolution and Currents Using a Benchmark Problem
Numerical modeling of tsunami evolution, propagation, and inundation is complicated due to numerous parameters involved in the phenomenon. It is important to assess the performance of numerical codes that solve tsunami motion, as well as flow and ...

ABSTRACT Global climate change has elevated the strategic importance of corporate climate risk disclosure, yet the role of industry peer effects in shaping such disclosure remains underexplored. Grounded in social learning theory, this study proposes an “observation–imitation–reinforcement” framework and empirically tests it using panel data on Chinese

Dispersion of tsunamis: does it really matter? [PDF]
This article focuses on the effect of dispersion in the field of tsunami modeling. Frequency dispersion in the linear long-wave limit is first briefly discussed from a theoretical point of view.

Generally, tsunamis are generated by the rapid crustal movements of the ocean floor. Other factors of tsunami generation include landslides on coastal and ocean floor slopes, glacier collapses, and meteorite collisions.

ABSTRACT Post‐disaster contexts generate large volumes of damaged building stock with significant, yet often unquantified, circularity potential. Through the lens of strategic management, the circular economy emerges as a transformative pathway to strengthen systemic resilience by reducing dependencies on external resources and mitigating supply chain ...

Generation and Propagation of Frequency-Dispersive Tsunamis
Tsunami are long water waves generated by sudden disturbances of the sea floor or sea water surface, which is usually caused by earthquakes, landslides or volcanic eruptions. Once triggered the tsunami can propagate over long distances, carrying destruction even on far coasts, hours after the impulsive generating event.

TSUNAMI PROPAGATION ALONG TAGUS ESTUARY (LISBON, PORTUGAL) PRELIMINARY RESULTS [PDF]
In this study we present preliminary results of flood calculation along Tagus Estuary, a catastrophic event that happened several times in the past, as described in historical documents, and that constitutes one of the major risk sources for Lisbon ...
