Bending of pseudoelastic NiTi tubes
Abstract Tension induced phase transformation in pseudoelastic NiTi leads to inhomogeneous deformation with the austenitic and martensitic phases coexisting. Deformation of nearly 7% is recovered on unloading during which the deformation is again inhomogeneous.
