Failure analysis of hanger for superheater tube
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2020Seven out of 12 pieces of hangers for superheater pipe were failed after one year in service. Failure analysis has been conducted to find out the root cause of failure. Hanger material is ASTM A182 Grade F22 Class 1. Fractography examinations revealed that the fracture mode is due to mechanical fatigue.

Mechanical Umbilical-Less Installation of Tubing Hangers
SPE Offshore Europe Conference & Exhibition, 2023Abstract Operators with subsea developments on the Norwegian Continental Shelf have the last 20 years aimed for better efficiency and reduce equipment and personnel needed on the rigs in relations with subsea completions. Drivers have been reducing HSE risk, reduce need for modifications on the rigs to accommodate for subsea related ...

Offshore Nickel Alloy Tubing Hanger and Duplex Stainless Steel Piping Failure Investigations
CORROSION 2003, 2003Abstract In the offshore oil and gas industry, extensive use is made of corrosion resistant alloys. Two failure cases are described, one with the Cr and Mo containing nickel base alloy UNS N07718 and one with the 22%Cr duplex stainless steel UNS S31803.

Abstract A producing well located offshore Congo was equipped with a TRSCSSV which failed to open. A velocity valve, with a stem beneath, had been installed to keep the flapper open. This condition, apart from restricting the production, was a temporary solution as defined in Eni's (the operator) well integrity policy; for this reason ...

Abstract A case study review for two ultra-high sour (28% H2S) high-pressure high-temperature (HPHT) gas wells, each with a stuck gauge hanger causing the wells to be out of production for 6 years. The paper will capture best practices and lessons learned from the successful fishing job which was done after several unsuccessful fishing ...

ABSTRACT Beam pump systems are among the most cost efficient artificial lift systems in the industry, assuming a long run time between pulling jobs to repair tubing failures caused by rod wear. The tubing string represents the second largest investment in the well. Tlie longer the period of time the well can be kept on-line and producing
