Caving‐enhanced geothermal system overwhelms fracturing‐ and pipe‐enhanced geothermal system in heat extraction

Our study reveals that caving‐enhanced geothermal systems (C‐EGS) with adequately fractured reservoirs achieve optimal heat extraction by minimizing preferential flow paths, while conventional fracturing (F‐EGS) and pipe‐based (P‐EGS) systems suffer accelerated thermal drawdown.

Disturbance‐driven changes in rainforest structure and environmental conditions can alter ecosystem functioning, yet the consequences for invertebrate communities – key contributors to decomposition, herbivory, and trophic interactions – are not fully understood, particularly in relation to structural changes in vegetation.

Dynamic copula and wavelet coherence reveal that geopolitical, economic, and sustainability uncertainties significantly shape crude oil price co‐movements.
