Tunable multimode-interference bandpass fiber filter

Optics Letters, 2010
We report on a wavelength-tunable filter based on multimode interference (MMI) effects. A typical MMI filter consists of a multimode fiber (MMF) spliced between two single-mode fibers (SMF). The peak wavelength response of the filter exhibits a linear dependence when the length of the MMF is modified.

Packaged Tunable Combline Bandpass Filters

IEEE Microwave Magazine, 2015
This article describes the design of a packaged tunable bandpass filter used for the Student Filter Design Competition held during the 2014 International Microwave Symposium (IMS2014) in Tampa, Florida. The focus of the 2014 competition was to demonstrate a tunable bandpass filter between two wide separated bands.

Automatically tunable bandpass filter

2017 18th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC), 2017
This article deals with automatically tunable bandpass second-order IIR filter. Filter is applied on the test stand which is used for active vibration control of sliding bearings with the use of piezoactuators. Control algorithm of vibration control was realized in Simulink and applied in dSPACE control system.

Active varactor tunable bandpass filter

IEEE Microwave and Guided Wave Letters, 1993
A microstrip active varactor tunable bandpass filter is presented. The filter is based upon the negative resistance method using a microstrip combline network. A 1.8-GHz, two-pole device with a bandwidth of 2% was constructed. 0.6 octave tuning with significant improvement in passband performance was achieved compared with its passive counterpart. >

Tunable dielectric resonator bandpass filter

13th International Conference on Microwaves, Radar and Wireless Communications. MIKON - 2000. Conference Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.00EX428), 2002
A simple but effective technique has been applied to magnetically tune the quasi-TE/sub 011/ mode dielectric resonator. The tuning was achieved by means of a ferrite rod situated centrally in the dielectric resonator and extending over the shield. The ferrite parameters were changed by DC magnetic field.

Tunable reflectionless microstrip bandpass filters

2018 IEEE Radio and Wireless Symposium (RWS), 2018
A class of frequency-reconfigurable reflectionless microstrip bandpass filters is reported. This RF/microwave device is based on a complementary-duplexer architecture made up of a bandpass-type and a bandstop-type channel with resistive termination. Whereas the bandpass channel defines the transmission profile of the overall filter, the input-signal ...

Independently Tunable Dual-Band Bandpass Filter

2020 17th International Computer Conference on Wavelet Active Media Technology and Information Processing (ICCWAMTIP), 2020
A reconfigurable multiband band-pass filter is proposed in this paper, using the structures and techniques of the Stub-loaded Stepped-Impedance Resonators dual-mode configuration. This design uses the source-load link and the shorted T-shaped stub lines.

A tunable bandpass patch filter with varactors

2010 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium, 2010
This paper presents a miniaturized tunable bandpass patch filter using varactors. The filter is conceived with a triple-mode circular patch resonator with four slots, where the varactors were connected. The extracted equivalent model, the varactors assembly configuration and their biasing are presented.

Switchable and tunable triple-channel bandpass filter

Chinese Physics B, 2022
A triple-channel bandpass filter with switchable and tunable functions is proposed, which is based on a triple-mode cross resonator. The varactors and switching diodes are loaded at the end of the resonator. Because of the use of switches, resonators have four working states: conventional single-mode, two dual-modes, and one triple-mode.

Tunable in-line fiber-optic bandpass filter

Optics Letters, 1994
An in-line fiber-optic bandpass wavelength filter has been demonstrated based on a single-mode fiber, side polished into the core, in evanescent contact with a high-index multimode overlay waveguide. Passband linewidths down to 5.2 nm were observed, while spacing between transmission peaks was seen to range from 45 to 256 nm for variation of the ...
