A novel tunable multimodal bandpass filter
2011 41st European Microwave Conference, 2011This paper presents a novel uniplanar tunable bandpass filter. In this filter, each resonator can be reconfigured easily using PIN diodes or MEMS switches. Design equations are derived from a simple circuit model which takes into account the multimodal behavior of the coplanar waveguide.

A Tunable Bandpass Filter with Switchable Bandwidth
Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, 2011A novel bandpass filter with tunable center frequency and switchable bandwidth is presented in this paper. This work is devoted to demonstrate a new approach to tune bandwidth of filters by changing the size of perturbation patch of dual-mode resonator.

Magnetically tunable bandpas filter of teraherz radiation
Izvestiya vysshikh uchebnykh zavedenii. Fizika, 2022A magnetically tunable bandpass filter of terahertz radiation is created and investigated. The filter is a cell with a magnetic fluid and a system of inductance coils made in the form of Helmholtz rings. The magnetic fluid consists of automotive synthetic engine oil and 5BDSR alloy microparticles with a mixed amorphouscrystalline structure. When a cell

Progress of a tunable active bandpass filter
Annales Des Télécommunications, 1992A review of a tunable active bandpass filter developed in our research group is given here. Presented first is the basic structure of an end-coupled microstrip-line bandpass filter. Next discussed is the concept of using coupled negative resistance to compensate the loss of tank circuit.

Active varactor tunable bandpass filter
IEEE Microwave and Guided Wave Letters, 1993A microstrip active varactor tunable bandpass filter is presented. The filter is based upon the negative resistance method using a microstrip combline network. A 1.8-GHz, two-pole device with a bandwidth of 2% was constructed. 0.6 octave tuning with significant improvement in passband performance was achieved compared with its passive counterpart. >

A spurious-free tunable bandpass filter
2008 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference, 2008This paper presents a simple structure for suppressing the second-harmonic of tunable filters. The proposed resonator for the filter possesses the advantage that its resonant frequencies of odd-mode can be electrically tuned, whereas the even-mode harmonics can be suppressed. In addition, it is very simple and compact in structure.

Tunable and programmable optical bandpass filter
Journal of Optics A: Pure and Applied Optics, 2007We demonstrate a novel tunable and programmable optical bandpass filter with a transmission peak less than 5 pm wide that is tunable over 18.5 nm. The number of transmission windows within the stop band, as well as each window's position and strength, is set by applying a heat profile to a chirped fibre Bragg grating with the aid of a thermal printer ...

Packaged Tunable Combline Bandpass Filters
IEEE Microwave Magazine, 2015This article describes the design of a packaged tunable bandpass filter used for the Student Filter Design Competition held during the 2014 International Microwave Symposium (IMS2014) in Tampa, Florida. The focus of the 2014 competition was to demonstrate a tunable bandpass filter between two wide separated bands.

Tunable dielectric resonator bandpass filter
13th International Conference on Microwaves, Radar and Wireless Communications. MIKON - 2000. Conference Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.00EX428), 2002A simple but effective technique has been applied to magnetically tune the quasi-TE/sub 011/ mode dielectric resonator. The tuning was achieved by means of a ferrite rod situated centrally in the dielectric resonator and extending over the shield. The ferrite parameters were changed by DC magnetic field.

Wideband bandpass filter with tunable passband
2015 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference (APMC), 2015In this paper, a tunable wideband bandpass filter based on stub-loaded stepped-impedance ring resonator is proposed. By changing the characteristic impedances of the loaded stubs, the bandwidth of the passband can be controlled with the center frequency unchanged. The even-and odd-mode method is applied to obtain the expression of S11 and S21.
