Single-particle perovskite lasers: from material properties to cavity design
Last decade, halide perovskites demonstrate high potential for efficient, tunable, and cheap photonic sources. Recently, single-particle perovskite lasers of various compositions and shapes with all dimensions close or smaller than the emitted ...

Polymorph engineering in ErMnO3 enables low‐voltage, forming‐free threshold switching with tunable negative differential resistance. Conducting orthorhombic regions embedded in an insulating hexagonal matrix provide controlled Joule‐heating‐enhanced Poole–Frenkel transport. The hexagonal phase prevents excessive heating and breakdown.

We demonstrate an all-fiber figure-eight mode-locked thulium-doped fiber laser with a wide tunable range in both pulsewidth and wavelength. A 45-m-long ultrahigh numerical aperture fiber is used to manage the cavity dispersion, and the net cavity ...

Widely tunable (PbSn)Te lasers using etched cavities for mass production [PDF]
Lead salt diode lasers are being used increasingly as tunable sources of monochromatic infrared radiation in a variety of spectroscopic systems. These devices are particularly useful, both in the laboratory and in the field, because of their high ...

Tunable lasers. Free electron laser.
A survey of electron beam devices as tunable coherent sources has been made. This survey consists of four parts. In the first section, physics of the interaction between free electron and free photon is studied. According to the condition to obtain energy- and momentum-conservations in the interaction, electron beam devices are classified into four ...

2D Magnetic and Topological Quantum Materials and Devices for Ultralow Power Spintronics
2D magnets and topological quantum materials enable ultralow‐power spintronics by combining robust magnetic order with symmetry‐protected, Berry‐curvature‐driven transport. Fundamentals of 2D anisotropy and spin‐orbit‐coupling induced band inversion are linked to scalable growth and vdW stacking.

Micro‐injection laser‐assisted bioprinting enables ultrafast and precise patterning of small endothelial cell spheroids by injecting a highly concentrated single‐cell suspension into GelMA/ColMA hydrogels. In co‐culture with fibroblasts, controlled pre‐vasculogenic network formation is obtained at microscale resolution.

The interaction of two laser pulses in an underdense plasma has proven to be able to inject electrons in plasma waves, thus providing a stable and tunable source of electrons. Whereas previous works focused on the "beatwave" injection scheme in which two
