Piv Method and Numerical Computation for Prediction of Liquid Steel Flow Structure in Tundish
This paper presents the results of computer simulations and laboratory experiments carried out to describe the motion of steel flow in the tundish. The facility under investigation is a single-nozzle tundish designed for casting concast slabs.

Evolution Mechanism of Nonmetallic Inclusions in Fe‐1.5Al‐xSi (x = 0.5–3.0 wt%) Alloyed Steels
Spherical SiO2 inclusions are predominantly observed in the steel when Si is alloyed. They sinter and grow through the collision mechanism. Aggregated alumina and polyhedral spinel inclusions are exclusively observed after subsequent addition of Al to Si‐alloyed steel.

Thermodynamic Constraints and Prospects for Intensified Steel Deoxidation
The article provides a short survey of steel deoxidation and considers how to increase its efficacy. Bringing a specially tailored, powdered slag into the reaction site can directly bind the deoxidation product oxides, resulting in lower dissolved oxygen activity, total oxygen content, and cleaner steel.

Mathematical simulation for effects of flow control devices in two-strand slab tundish
Fluid flows in a two-strand tundish for slab continuous casting were performed with mathematical simulation methods. The molten steel flow velocity fields in the tundish with a turbulence inhibitor, dam, and weir were numerically calculated.

Effect of Eight-strand Tundish Lining Heat Balance on Steel Temperature
The numerical simulation and calculation on eight-strand 40 t tundish lining and liquid steel during roasting and casting have been carried out, and the 20CrMnTiH steel 200 mm x 200 mm billet casting process has been tested in situ. The results show that

Samples with different amounts of TiC (2, 3.5, and 5 wt%) are analyzed in a hot stage microscope, capturing the softening and melting temperatures. It is found that the presence of TiC elevates the melting initiation temperature above the melting point of pure iron.

Viscosity, Density, Surface Tension, and Crystallization Behavior of Commercial Mold Fluxes
This study explores the properties and behaviors of two mold fluxes used in steel casting. Key findings show that viscosity and density change nonlinearly with temperature. Increased basicity lowers viscosity and raises break temperature, while phase formation time shortens. Time–temperature transformation and continuous cooling transformation diagrams
