The Role of Ultra‐Thin Buffer Layers for Achieving Ultra‐Low Dark Currents in Single‐Component Organic Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, SubNc single‐component organic photodiodes (SC‐OPDs) are investigated, which achieve highly competitive performance metrics, including high EQE, ultra‐low JD, and high specific detectivity (D*). This study emphasizes the critical role of an organic buffer layer in studying the interface energetics and effects to achieve state‐of‐the‐art ...

effects of film density on electrochromic tungsten oxide thin films deposited by reactive dc-pulsed magnetron sputtering

open access: yes, 2010
The correlation between the electrochromic performance and the film density of the tungsten oxide thin films sputtered by reactive dc-pulsed magnetron sputtering with varying working pressure was investigated.

Cycloaddition of Tungsten−η1-3-Furyl Compounds with Alkenes and Alkynes:  Syntheses and Ring Cleavage of Tungsten−η1-Oxabicycloheptene and −η1-Oxabicycloheptadiene Compounds

open access: yes, 2016
Cycloaddition of tungsten−η1-3-furyl compounds with a variety of organic alkenes and alkynes proceeds smmothly at ambient conditions, yielding tungsten−η1-oxabicyclo[2.2.1]heptene and −η1-oxabicyclo[2.2.1]heptadiene compounds in high regioselectivities ...

Machine Learning‐Assisted Inverse Design of Soft and Multifunctional Hybrid Liquid Metal Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A machine learning framework is presented for inverse design of synthesizable multifunctional composites containing both liquid metal and solid inclusions. By integrating physics‐based modeling, data‐driven prediction, and Bayesian optimization, the approach enables intelligent design of experiments to identify optimal compositions and realize these ...

Fabrication and mechanical properties of gradient-structured W–Ni–Fe–Mo/Co tungsten heavy alloys

open access: yesFenmo yejin jishu
Gradient-structured tungsten heavy alloys with spatially graded mechanical properties can effectively resolve the strength-ductility trade-off in conventional homogeneous tungsten alloys. The high-strength 93W–Ni–Fe–Mo alloys and high-ductility 90W–Ni–Fe–

Electrode and Microstructure Dependence of Oxygen Diffusion in Ferroelectric Hafnium Zirconium Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights
