Impact of creep-fatigue interaction on divertor tungsten under high heat flux
High heat flux as 20 MW m−2 during stationary operation can be foreseen in future fusion devices, leading to recrystallization and thermal creep in tungsten targets. Both recrystallization and thermal creep impact would play significant roles in service.

Optimization of tungsten castellated structures for the ITER divertor [PDF]
Abstract In ITER, the plasma-facing components (PFCs) of the first wall and the divertor armor will be castellated to improve their thermo-mechanical stability and to limit forces due to induced currents. The fuel accumulation in the gaps may significantly contribute to the in-vessel fuel inventory.

Nonthermal plasma approaches for combating implant‐associated infections: A compendious review
Implant‐associated infections pose serious clinical challenges. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) modifications overcome this bottleneck in distinct ways relative to traditional sterilization methods. Gas‐phase plasmas generate highly energetic species, UV radiation and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS), which alter the implant surface properties.

Threshold Currents of Vacuum Arcs With Tungsten and Copper Cathodes
ABSTRACT This paper presents the results of an experimental study aimed at determining the threshold current for triggering a vacuum arc discharge, the probability of arc ignition and the average arc operation time depending on the current for tungsten and copper electrodes.

Abstract This paper is the third part of our series on tungsten foil laminates. Within the tungsten laminate project we have succeeded in ductilizing tungsten by synthesizing a tungsten laminate made of tungsten foil, which is ductile. By assembling and joining several layers of tungsten foil, the ductile properties of the foil can be extended to the

Investigation of particle exhaust from EAST divertor
Particle control is one of the key issues for steady-state tokamak operation. The density decay time is used to evaluate the capability of the divertor to exhaust particle with all fueling turn off.

Arsenite methyltransferase 3 is required for mitochondrial function and hepatic lipid metabolism
AS3MT is a protein that helps the body process arsenic, a naturally occurring toxin found in water and soil. We discovered it also helps cells make and use energy properly. Without AS3MT, cells' mitochondria do not work well, leading to fatty liver and reduced activity. Increasing AS3MT in liver cells restores energy and protects against arsenic damage,
