Brain tissue classification in hyperspectral images using multistage diffusion features and transformer

open access: yesJournal of Microscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Brain surgery is a widely practised and effective treatment for brain tumours, but accurately identifying and classifying tumour boundaries is crucial to maximise resection and avoid neurological complications. This precision in classification is essential for guiding surgical decisions and subsequent treatment planning.

Controlled movement of lower strike points by applying a divertor coil on the EAST tokamak

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2023
A new in-vessel water-cooled coil has been placed below the lower tungsten-covered divertor in EAST, aiming at moving the strike points in the divertor and spreading the heat flow on the targets. To achieve controlled movement of the strike points by the

The Need for Improved Public Transparency in the Era of Due Diligence Regulations

open access: yesRegulation &Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT To address environmental and human rights issues in global commodity supply chains, governments increasingly require information from companies on their sourcing, as part of due‐diligence regulations (DDRs). This shift towards accountability to the regulator rather than to the public calls into question the role left for public transparency ...

Multi‐Induction Strategies in Crops: Mechanisms, Synergistic Effects, and Sustainable Applications for Enhanced Secondary Metabolite Production

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 4, July 2026.
This review analyzes single/combined abiotic (light, water, nutrients, hormones) and biotic (microbes, yeast) elicitors regulating signaling, gene expression, and metabolism to boost plant secondary metabolites. It highlights synergistic multielicitor strategies for crop quality and functional foods, while critically addressing current limitations and ...

Performance of a liquid Sn divertor target during ASDEX upgrade L-mode and H-mode operation

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy, 2023
One of the ways to extend the lifetime of the divertor for DEMO could be to replace the solid tungsten plasma-facing components with liquid tin (Sn) confined in a tungsten capillary porous structure (CPS). Testing a CPS in a divertor plasma configuration

ROBERT WALSER'S ‘BLEISTIFTWEG’: POETICS OF ATTENTION AS CRAFT

open access: yesGerman Life and Letters, Volume 79, Issue 3, Page 323-336, July 2026.
ABSTRACT This article examines Robert Walser's entry into what he called his ‘Bleistiftgebiet’ in the early 1920s, when in response to a profound crisis as a writer he began to produce manuscripts in minuscule size, the so‐called ‘Mikrogramme’ (microscripts). Intertwining the analysis of the short prose form with Walser's reflections on the short‐lived

Progress and Challenges in Faba Bean Genetic Engineering

open access: yesLegume Science, Volume 8, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Legumes are essential for global food security, serving as a vital source of plant‐based protein and playing a significant role in sustainable agricultural practices. Among legumes, faba bean (Vicia faba L.) is noteworthy due to its high‐protein content, broad climate adaptation, and suitability for cultivation in temperate regions.

Suppression of tungsten accumulation during ELMy H-mode by lower hybrid wave heating in the EAST tokamak

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy, 2017
EAST tokamak has been equipped with upper tungsten divertor since 2014. The tungsten accumulation has been often observed in NBI-heated H-mode discharges suggesting deleterious tungsten confinement in the plasma core.

Finite Element Modelling of Synthetic Normal Resistivity Logging Tool: Insights Into Vein Parameters, Borehole Fluids and Electrode Configuration

open access: yesGeophysical Prospecting, Volume 74, Issue 5, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Borehole resistivity logging can play an important role in subsurface exploration by enhancing the accuracy of surface data inversion models. However, its application in the mining industry remains limited due to challenges posed by complex geological formations, particularly in vein‐hosted deposits such as orogenic gold and porphyry copper ...

Microbial Electrosynthesis Reshapes Energy Metabolism and Physiology in Clostridium ljungdahlii

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, Volume 19, Issue 6, June 2026.
Microbial electrosynthesis drives Clostridium ljungdahlii into a distinct stress‐associated physiological state, different from gas fermentation. Comparative multi‐omics and electron microscopy reveal physiological constraints that help explain the poor performance of MES.
