Arterial pathology in canine mucopolysaccharidosis-I and response to therapy. [PDF]
Mucopolysaccharidosis-I (MPS-I) is an inherited deficiency of α-L-iduronidase (IdU) that causes lysosomal accumulation of glycosaminoglycans (GAG) in a variety of parenchymal cell types and connective tissues.

Hubungan Kadar Apolipoprotein B Dengan Aterosklerosis Arteri Karotis Interna Pada Pasien Pasca Stroke Iskemik [PDF]
Background: Ischemic stroke is caused by brain artery obstruction or narrowing called atherosclerosis. Its marker is the thickness of tunica intima-media (intima-media thickness / IMT) of the artery. Apolipoprotein B is the indicator of atherosclerosis

Expression of mRNA for phospholipase A(2), cyclooxygenases, and lipoxygenases in cultured human umbilical vascular endothelial and smooth muscle cells and in biopsies from umbilical arteries and veins [PDF]
Arachidonic acid (AA) is released by phospholipase A(2) (PLA(2)) and then converted into vasoactive and inflammatory eicosanoids by cyclooxygenases (COX) and lipoxygenases (LOX).

Oct4‐nanoscript, a biomimetic nanoparticle‐based artificial transcription factor, precisely regulates cellular rejuvenation by activating Oct4 target genes, restoring epigenetic marks, and reducing DNA damage. In a progeria model, it effectively rescued aging‐associated pathologies and extended lifespan.

Anomalous wave propagation in quasiisotropic media [PDF]
Based on boundary conditions and dispersion relations, the anomalous propagation of waves incident from regular isotropic media into quasiisotropic media is investigated. It is found that the anomalous negative refraction, anomalous total reflection and oblique total transmission can occur in the interface associated with quasiisotropic media.

Imaging biomarkers for carotid artery atherosclerosis [PDF]
__Abstract__ Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the leading cause of death in the western world and their prevalence is rising. Currently CVD account for approximately one out of every five lives (Roger et al., 2011).
