[The morphogenesis of the scapula of Tupaia belangeri].

Gegenbaurs morphologisches Jahrbuch, 1991
The therian scapula was until now thought to show very primitive features during early morphogenesis, as are found in the scapula of adult monotremes (elevated position of the scapula, lack of a spina and a fossa supraspinata, laterally directed cavitas glenoidalis).

Phenotypic Diversity of Different Geographic Populations in Tupaia belangeri

Indian Journal of Animal Research
Background: Phenotypic traits are crucial for studying biological systems. Tree shrews are widely used in environmental adaptation research due to their genetic diversity and phenotypic polymorphism. The measurement of its physical indicators and skull provides a new perspective for exploring the adaptive characteristics of different tree shrew ...

Transcriptome sequencing of Chinese tree shrew, Tupaia belangeri chinensis

2012
Deep sequencing of mRNA from Chinese tree shrew; Chinese tree shrew (Tupaia belangeri chinensis) is placed in Order Scandentia and embraces many unique features for a good experimental animal model. Currently, there are many attempts to employ tree shrew to establish model for a variety of human disorders such as social stress, myopia, HCV and HBV ...

[The ontogenesis of the manubrium sterni in Tupaia belangeri].

Gegenbaurs morphologisches Jahrbuch, 1990
The morphogenesis of the manubrium sterni was studied in a series of dated embryos of Tupaia belangeri. In addition to the sternal bands, the "paired suprasternal Anlage" takes part in the shaping of the manubrium sterni as reported by Klima (1968) for other mammals.
