Abstract Background Cancer emergence is associated with a series of cellular transformations that include acquired drug resistance followed by tumor metastasis. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and Hsp90 chaperone are implicated in tumor progression, however, they are not studied in the context of drug resistance. Aims In the present study, we aimed at

A Physics‐Informed Neural Network as a Digital Twin of Optically Turbid Media
In this work, a physics‐informed neural network is presented as a digital twin for modeling and studying optically turbid media without requiring reference light. The model learns and integrates complex wavefront modulation behavior, ensuring robustness without explicit calibration.

Early diagnosis and prognosis prediction of central nervous system infections are critical. This study introduces a deep‐learning model utilizing cerebrospinal fluid immune‐cell morphology captured via 3D holotomography. The model effectively predicts infection etiology and prognosis, achieving high accuracy.

Solution blow spinning PTFE‐SiO2 membrane for membrane assisted solvent extraction. ABSTRACT An ultrafine‐fibrous polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)–SiO2 membrane was successfully fabricated using the solution blow spinning (SBS) method. This membrane demonstrated superhydrophobicity (water contact angle > 150°) and oleophilicity (ethyl acetate contact ...

Polarization Discrimination Imaging of objects hidden in turbid media: Detection of weak sinusoids through Stochastic Resonance [PDF]
In Polarization Discrimination Imaging, the amplitude of a sinusoid from a rotating analyzer, representing residual polarized light and carrying information on the object, is detected with the help of a lock-in amplifier. When turbidity increases beyond a level, the lock-in amplifier fails to detect the weak sinusoidal component in the transmitted ...
