Complications following bilateral turbinectomy.
East African medical journal, 1995Thirty four patients undergoing bilateral inferior turbinectomy for obstruction of the upper airway are prospectively reviewed. The indication for the operation was persistent nasal obstruction interfering with sleep and speech. Their ages ranged from seven years to 50 years.

[Inferior turbinectomy in asthmatic children].
Annales d'oto-laryngologie et de chirurgie cervico faciale : bulletin de la Societe d'oto-laryngologie des hopitaux de Paris, 1997Nineteen children with asthma underwent bilateral inferior turbinectomy from 1990 to 1995. Mean age was 11.5 years (range 8-17). All had obstructive allergic rhinitis and were resistant to long-term local corticosteroids. All operations were done under general anesthesia and endoscopic control. Mean hospital stay was 3 days.
