Heterogeneity of Marine Birnaviruses Isolated from Turbot(Scophthalmus maximus).
6 pages, 1 figure, 1 table. Six marine birnaviruses isolated from turbot (Scophthalmus maximus) were compared with the infectious pancreatic necrosis virus reference strains Sp, Ab and WB from salmonid fish. This comparison was carried out by PAGE analysis of viral RNA and polypeptides and comparison of the reaction pattern with 4 monoclonal antibodies

Genes, fish and fisheries: translating science into policy
Abstract The 2024 Annual Symposium of the Fisheries Society of the British Isles reviewed the burgeoning impact of ‘omics’ technologies on fish ecology, management and forecasting. As with life sciences more generally, major advances in speed, cost‐effectiveness and breadth of applications in ‘omics’ has had profound societal and environmental impacts.

Genomic Sequencing of Ranaviruses Isolated from Turbot (Scophthalmus maximus) and Atlantic Cod (Gadus morhua) [PDF]
Ranaviruses have been isolated from Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua) and turbot (Scophthalmus maximus) in Denmark. Phylogenomic analyses revealed that these two ranaviruses are nearly identical and form a distinct clade at the base of the ranavirus tree ...
