Attitude Control of Aircraft Using Only Synthetic Jet Actuators When Stall Occurs

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
This paper proposes a novel active flow control method for a special aircraft, that using only synthetic jet actuators (SJAs) to achieve pitch-roll-yaw attitude control at a high angle of attack when the stall occurs.

Anisotropic Surface Microrollers for Endovascular Navigation: A Computational Analysis with a Case Study in Hepatic Perfusion

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
Computational fluid dynamics analyses assess the upstream locomotion performance of anisotropic microrollers with varying height‐to‐width ratios. Observing their successful upstream locomotion in veins, their performance in hepatic circulation is investigated for treating primary liver cancer.

Experimental study on the change of the orientation of high aspect ratio nozzle slit relative to the airflow

open access: yesScientific Reports
An experimental study to investigate the flow of liquid jet issued from a high aspect ratio nozzle slit into an incoming airflow by changing the orientation angle from the incoming free-stream was performed.

Poynting's theorem in magnetic turbulence [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
Poynting's theorem is used to obtain an expression for the turbulent power-spectral density as function of frequency and wavenumber in low-frequency magnetic turbulence. No reference is made to Elsasser variables as is usually done in magnetohydrodynamic turbulence mixing mechanical and electromagnetic turbulence.

Exploration of Half‐Cycle Length of Converging Circular Wavy Duct with Diverging‐Outlet: Turbulent Water Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
Increasing half‐cycles intensifies turbulence due to enhanced vortex interactions and flow separation at the diverged‐outlets. Longer wavy ducts are shown to increase flow acceleration, resulting in greater output velocities and more turbulent‐kinetic‐energy production. Wave‐period plays a crucial role in determining turbulent intensity, with amplitude

Energy-Dominated Local Carbon Emissions in Beijing 2007: Inventory and Input-Output Analysis

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2012
For greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by Beijing economy 2007, a concrete emission inventory covering carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O) is presented and associated with an input-output analysis to reveal the local GHG embodiment ...

Facile Fabrication of Large‐Area and High‐Quality Organic–Inorganic Hybrid Perovskite Ferroelectric Films Through Electrohydrodynamic Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In situ fabrication of large‐area, high‐quality organic‐inorganic hybrid perovskite ferroelectric (OIHPF) crystals and films via on‐demand electrohydrodynamic (EHD) printing modes. Abstract Traditional oxide ferroelectrics have long struggled to produce flexible, large‐area, and high‐quality thin films at low temperatures, despite their good ...

Turbulences [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
