Mapping of Turbulent Intensity by Magnetic Resonance Imaging
The signal produced by turbulent flow in NMR pulse sequences has been analyzed by considering the effects of variations in fluid velocity on the net signal phase variance. It is shown that in a bipolar field gradient, the signal is dependent on the gradient amplitude and the precise time dependence of the velocity fluctuations.

Flame Surface Fractal Characteristics in Premixed Turbulent Combustion at High Turbulence Intensities [PDF]
=SL (ratio of fluctuating velocity to laminar flame velocity) was from 0.9 to 15, and the Reynolds number, based on the integral length scale, was from 40 to 467. The flame front surface areas were calculated for each set of results and compared with experimental turbulent burning velocities.

Model-based scaling of the streamwise energy density in high-Reynolds-number turbulent channels [PDF]
We study the Reynolds number scaling of a gain-based, low-rank approximation to turbulent channel flows, determined by the resolvent formulation of McKeon & Sharma (2010), in order to obtain a description of the streamwise turbulence intensity from ...
