Delineating In Vivo T1‐Weighted Intensity Profiles Within the Human Insula Cortex Using 7‐Tesla MRI

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 4, March 2026.
Using 7‐Tesla MRI, this research delineates cortical depth dependent intensity profiles within the human insula cortex, identifying distinct clusters in the posterior–anterior and anterior‐inferior portions of the human insula. These findings offer insights into the structural underpinnings of the insula, supporting individualized approaches ...

Work Has Changed, Has HRM? Designing for the Distributed, Fragmented, and Fluid Era

open access: yesHuman Resource Management, Volume 65, Issue 2, Page 305-324, March/April 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper addresses the growing misalignment between traditional human resource management (HRM) systems and the realities of distributed, fluid, and fragmented work. To address this issue, we introduce the FLUID‐HRM framework—a layered design architecture that reconfigures core HRM domains (resourcing, rewards, development, relations, work ...

Imagining Justice Transformation in Aotearoa: Possibilities and Pitfalls

open access: yesKōtuitui: New Zealand Journal of Social Sciences Online, Volume 21, Issue 1, March 2026.
It is well‐noted that for as long as there have been prisons, there has been continued resistance to their use and calls for alternatives. Debates amongst advocates for change in the justice system fixate on whether prison reform or abolition is the answer. This article engages with narratives from 16 semi‐structured interviews with people who advocate

Engineering Nanocellulose Scaffolds: Property Modification Strategies and Mechanotransduction‐Driven Tissue Outcomes

open access: yesPolymers for Advanced Technologies, Volume 37, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Nanocellulose is being increasingly used in biomedical applications because of its biocompatibility, mechanical robustness, tunable surface chemistry, and adjustable rheology. This review evaluates recent strategies for engineering cellulose nanofibrils, nanocrystals, and bacterial nanocellulose into cell‐instructive scaffolds for skin, bone ...

Turing‐Patterned Noble‐Metal/Si Catalysts via a Top‐Down Route for Enhanced Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
A general top‐down strategy is reported for constructing nano‐Turing‐patterned noble‐metal–silicon (NM–Si; NM = Ru, Ir, Rh) catalysts via selective chemical etching of LaNM2Si2 intermetallic precursors. The optimized Ir–Si interface achieves outstanding hydrogen evolution performance and stability in both acidic and alkaline media.
