Maxillomandibular Advancement Outcomes in Obstructive Sleep Apnea by Age and Gender

This systematic review and meta‐analysis of 36 studies (608 patients) found that maxillomandibular advancement significantly improves polysomnographic, cephalometric, and subjective measures of obstructive sleep apnea across both sexes and throughout the lifespan. Odds of surgical cure decline roughly 3% per year of age.
