Pine processionary caterpillar (Thaumetopoea wilkinsoni Tams.) larvaecause defoliation by eating leaves mainly in Turkish red pine, but sometimes incedar and Crimean pine forests in Mediterranean Region of Turkey. The growth rateof the trees are adversely affected by the defoliation, even it is temporary.
