Crystal structure of borated N,N,N′,N′-tetramethyldiaminomethane

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2015
In the title compound, {[(dimethylamino)methyl]dimethylamine}trihydridoboron, C5H17BN2, the tetrahedral geometry of the N—C—N unit is slightly disorted. As a result of the bulky amine substituents, a wider N—C—N angle of 113.6 (1)° is observed.

A population-based study of anxiety as a precursor for depression in childhood and adolescence

open access: yesBMC Psychiatry, 2004
Background Anxiety and depression co-occur in children and adolescents with anxiety commonly preceding depression. Although there is some evidence to suggest that the association between early anxiety and later depression is explained by a shared ...

The morphologies of twins in tetragonal ferroelectrics

open access: yesFrontiers in Materials, 2022
Twins, as a special structure, have been observed in a small number of experiments on ferroelectrics. A good understanding of the morphologies of twins is very important for twin engineering applications in ferroelectric materials.

Strain Localisation and Fracture of Nuclear Reactor Core Materials

open access: yesJournal of Nuclear Engineering, 2023
The production of prismatic dislocation loops in nuclear reactor core materials results in hardening because the loops impede dislocation motion. Yielding often occurs by a localised clearing of the loops through interactions with gliding dislocations ...

Proteinuria as a novel risk factor for allogeneic blood transfusion irrespective of single or twin pregnancy

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Obstetrics & Gynecology, 2020
Objective: To clarify whether isolated proteinuria (IP) is an independent risk factor for blood transfusion (BT) for postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), and whether risk factors for BT identified in single pregnancy also apply to twin pregnancy.
