Prime Graphs with Almost True Twin Vertices

open access: yesMathematics
A graph G consists of a possibly infinite set V(G) of vertices with a collection E(G) of unordered pairs of distinct vertices, called the set of edges of G. Such a graph is denoted by (V(G),E(G)).

Pjateckij-Shapiro Prime Twins

open access: yesJournal of Number Theory, 1993
Let \(c\) be a positive constant, and let \(N_ c (x)\) denote the number of primes \(p \leq x\) for which \([p^ c]\) is also prime. \textit{A. Balog} [Publ. Math. Orsay 89/01, 3-11 (1989; Zbl 0712.11056)] proved that \[ N_ c(x) \sim c^{-1} x(\log x)^{-2} \] for \(c < 5/6\), and that \(\limsup_{x \to \infty} {N_ c(x) \over c^{-1} x(\log x)^{-2}} \geq 1\)

Cognitive Functioning in Vorinostat‐Treated Pediatric and Young Adult Patients Over the First 180 Days After Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Cognitive and psychological difficulties could negatively interfere with treatment adherence and quality of life before and after hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT). Methods to mitigate these changes may have positive effects on treatment success.

Barriers to the Adoption of Digital Twin in the Construction Industry: A Literature Review

open access: yesInformatics, 2023
Digital twin (DT) has gained significant recognition among researchers due to its potential across industries. With the prime goal of solving numerous challenges confronting the construction industry (CI), DT in recent years has witnessed several ...

Prime Harmonics and Twin Prime Distribution [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Distribution of twin primes is a long standing problem in the number theory. As of present, it is not known if the set of twin primes is finite, the problem known as twin prime conjecture. An analysis of prime modulo cycles, or prime harmonics in this work allowed to define approaches in estimation of twin prime distributions with good accuracy of ...

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

BiEntropy, TriEntropy and Primality

open access: yesEntropy, 2020
The order and disorder of binary representations of the natural numbers < 28 is measured using the BiEntropy function. Significant differences are detected between the primes and the non-primes.

Twin Primes and Sophie Germain’s Prime Numbers [PDF]

open access: yesThe Bulletin of Society for Mathematical Services and Standards, 2013
For two millennia, the prime numbers have continued to fascinate mathematicians. Indeed, a conjecture which dates back to this period states that the number of twin primes is infinite. In 1949 Clement showed a theorem on twin primes. In a recent article, I prooved a corollary of Clement’s theorem [1].
