Thermochemical Micro‐Explosion for Prompt Thrombolysis via Proximal Injection of Liquid Alkali Metal

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report a micro‐explosive thermochemical thrombolysis (METCT) therapy via injectable liquid alkali metal encapsulated in dimethyl silicone (LAM@oil). METCT enables prompt and safe vascular recanalization within 90 s. Critically, the LAM@oil system demonstrates significantly higher thrombolytic efficacy compared to clinically available thrombolytic ...

Acardius acephalus in a goat kid - radiological and gross findings: a case repor

open access: yesVeterinární Medicína, 2013
We received a malformed Messinese Black goat foetus for examination. The foetus was part of a triple gestation, from which two male kids presented no morphological abnormalities and underwent regular slaughtering.

Synchronization‐Dissipation in the Cardiorespiratory System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By modeling central nervous coupling and viscoelastic interactions in the cardiorespiratory system we show that synchronization produces a 10% gain in cardiac efficiency in humans. It is surmised that respiratory sinus arrhythmia improves cardiac pumping efficiency by reducing dynamic stress and power dissipation in the pulmonary vasculature.

Anaesthetic considerations for foetal intervention in the radiological suite: A case report [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University
Maternal-foetal surgery is an expeditiously evolving specialty and huge progress has been made in it over the past few years. Twin reversed arterial perfusion sequence also known as “acardiac malformation” is a rare complication of twin monochorionic ...

Twin reversed arterial perfusion syndrome: a rare but critical event of twin pregnancy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Twin-Reversed Arterial Perfusion (TRAP) sequence is also known as acardiac twin gestation or chorioangiopagus parasiticus, it is a rare and unique complication of monozygotic monochorionic twin pregnancies. 35 year old 8 gravida four alive issues and one

Polydopamine Nanoparticle‐Mediated Precise Near‐Infrared Optical Stimulation for Cognitive Enhancement

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Polydopamine nanoparticles enable a precise, non‐genetic, and transcranial neuromodulation strategy via near‐infrared photothermal stimulation. By activating TRPV1 channels, this approach specifically enhances hippocampal gamma oscillations, thereby rescuing spatial memory deficits in models of perioperative neurocognitive disorder.

HD‐tDCS Restores Perivascular AQP4 Polarization via PPARγ Modulation to Enhance Glymphatic Clearance After Intracerebral Hemorrhage in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HD‐tDCS promotes recovery after intracerebral hemorrhage by enhancing PPARγ‐dependent astrocyte remodeling in a mouse model of ICH. This process suppresses proinflammatory astrocytic activation, restores perivascular AQP4 repolarization, and improves glymphatic influx and efflux, thereby facilitating hematoma and perihematomal edema clearance and ...

Twinning and birth defects: Rachipegal heteropagal twins and acardiac twins

open access: yesJournal of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, 2020
Twin pregnancies are associated with multiple birth defects. The increase in twinning was attributed to fertility treatments. Twins were supposed to be associated with increased risk of congenital malformations.

Aberrant GRP78 Phase Transition Sustains Endothelial IRE1α Signaling and Drives Blood–Brain Barrier Failure in Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Vascular Aβ40 corrupts GRP78 phase behavior in brain endothelial cells, sustaining IRE1α–TRAF2–JNK signaling and driving apoptosis, tight junction loss, and blood–brain barrier failure in cerebral amyloid angiopathy. Pharmacological IRE1α inhibition restores vascular integrity, reduces leakage, and improves functional outcomes, revealing a targetable ...
