Supersymmetric gauge theories in twistor space [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We construct a twistor space action for = 4 super Yang-Mills theory and show that it is equivalent to its four dimensional spacetime counterpart at the level of perturbation theory.

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Patterned Assembly of Transition Metal Dichalcogenide/Graphene Heterostructures via Direct Laser Writing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The fabrication of patterned transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD)/graphene heterostructures via direct laser writing reveals new interface chemistry and enables efficient, customizable assembly. Selective laser irradiation of functionalized TMD/graphene triggers localized reactions, forming chemically modified interfaces.

Contact structures on twistor spaces

open access: yesJournal of the Mathematical Society of Japan, 1987
For a quaternionic Kähler manifold \((M,g,H)\) of nonzero scalar curvature, H being a quaternionic structure, the twistor space Z of \((M,g,H)\) admits a (possibly indefinite) Kähler-Einstein metric \(\bar g\) and a complex contact structure \(\gamma\) [\textit{S. Salamon}, Invent. Math. 67, 143-171 (1982; Zbl 0486.53048)]. First the authors prove: The

Killing spinor initial data sets

open access: yes, 2007
A 3+1 decomposition of the twistor and valence-2 Killing spinor equation is made using the space spinor formalism. Conditions on initial data sets for the Einstein vacuum equations are given so that their developments contain solutions to the twistor and/

From Low Symmetry to High Dissymmetry: Chiral Plasmonic Films of Binary and Nanobipyramid Assemblies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work develops highly dissymmetric chiral plasmonic thin films by helically assembling gold nano bipyramids within a liquid‐crystal template. Engineering of the chiroptical response is achieved by varying particle size and geometry, as well as preparing binary assemblies.

A hidden 2d CFT for self-dual Yang-Mills on the celestial sphere

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Self-dual Yang-Mills theory admits an underlying infinite dimensional symmetry algebra, which has been obtained from mode expansion of Mellin transformed 4d scattering amplitudes and separately, Koszul duality on twistor space.

Alternative string theory in twistor space for N=4 super-Yang-Mills theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
In this letter, an alternative string theory in twistor space is proposed for describing perturbative N=4 super-Yang-Mills theory. Like the recent proposal of Witten, this string theory uses twistor worldsheet variables and has manifest spacetime ...

Lie groups and twistor spaces

open access: yesDuke Mathematical Journal, 1985
The construction of harmonic maps from the 2-sphere to a symmetric space is nowadays heavily influenced by twistor theory. It has its origins in pre-twistor days with the paper of \textit{E. Calabi} [''Quelques applications de l'analyse complexe aux surfaces d'aire minima'', Topics in Complex Manifolds, Presses Univ.

Twistor theory on a finite graph

open access: yes, 2010
We show how the description of a shear-free ray congruence in Minkowski space as an evolving family of semi-conformal mappings can naturally be formulated on a finite graph. For this, we introduce the notion of holomorphic function on a graph.
