Solving Two-Dimensional Helmholtz and Poisson Equations Using Double Laplace Transform Method

open access: yesIndian Journal Of Science And Technology
Objectives: To explore the efficacy of the double Laplace transform technique in solving 2D Helmholtz and Poisson equations. Methods: The double Laplace transform clearly converts the 2D Helmholtz and Poisson equations into an algebraic calculation in the Laplace domain that can be solved easily.

Analysis of Transient Electromagnetic Scattering from Two-Dimensional Open-Ended Structures by Numerical Inversion of Laplace Transform

open access: yesIEICE Transactions on Electronics, 2011
A novel computational method is proposed to investigate electromagnetic scattering problems. It is error controllable and reliable simulation in time domain can be performed. We apply the proposed method to analysis of transient scattering from open-ended structures and discuss scattering mechanisms.

The Laplace Transform of Generalized Functions

open access: yes, 1966
In this paper we develop a theory of Laplace transforms for generalized functions. Some fundamental results in this field were given by Schwartz in (3) for the n-dimensional bilateral case from the point of view of topological vector spaces, and in (4 ...

Hidden Markov graphical models with state‐dependent generalized hyperbolic distributions

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract In this article, we develop a novel hidden Markov graphical model to investigate time‐varying interconnectedness between different financial markets. To identify conditional correlation structures under varying market conditions and accommodate shape features embedded in financial time series, we rely upon the generalized hyperbolic family of ...

Numerical solution of two-dimensional fractional differential equations using Laplace transform with residual power series method

open access: yesNonlinear Engineering
One of the efficient and reliable methods for resolving fractional order linear as well as non-linear differential equations is the Laplace transform with residual power series method. This approach is used in the current research to obtain the numerical

The two-sided laplace transform for boehmians

open access: yes, 1994
An extension of the two-sided Laplace transform to a space of Boehmians is defined. The extension preserves operational properties of the transform and applies to generalized functions with unbounded support which are locally of infinite order.

Kinetic Contribution to the Arbitrary Order Odd Frequency Moments of the Dynamic Structure Factor

open access: yesContributions to Plasma Physics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT An exact expression is derived for the kinetic contribution to the odd (arbitrary order) frequency moments of the dynamic structure factor via a finite summation that features averages of even (all lower orders) powers of the momentum over the exact momentum distribution.

Enhancing hydrogen evolution reaction by harnessing bubble dynamics regulation: Principles, methods, and outlook

open access: yesDroplet, EarlyView.
Bubble dynamics pose critical bottlenecks to hydrogen evolution reaction efficiency, causing active site isolation, increased ohmic resistance, and concentration overpotential, especially at high current densities. This review comprehensively summarizes passive and active bubble manipulation strategies, elucidates their underlying principles, and ...

Experiments With the Laplace Transform

open access: yes, 2001
Using Maple or Mathmatica, learner should be able to study the Laplace transform and use it to examine both an ordinary differential equation problem and a problem for the one-dimensional heat equation on a semi-infinite ...

Photothermal–Magnetocaloric Coupled Evaporators for Actively Adjustable Water Evaporation and Oil–Water Purification in Complex Environments

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A photothermal–magnetocaloric coupled aerogel evaporator is developed for actively adjustable water evaporation in complex environments. Magnetocaloric heating provides active energy compensation under low‐light conditions and disrupts interfacial hydrogen‐bond networks to promote evaporation.
