Two-dimensional string theory and the topological torus [PDF]
We analyze topological string theory on a two dimensional torus, focusing on symmetries in the matter sector. Even before coupling to gravity, the topological torus has an infinite number of point-like physical observables, which give rise via the BRST descent equations to an infinite symmetry algebra of the model.

Excitation basis for (3+1)d topological phases
We consider an exactly solvable model in 3+1 dimensions, based on a finite group, which is a natural generalization of Kitaev’s quantum double model. The corresponding lattice Hamiltonian yields excitations located at torus-boundaries.

Torus conformal blocks and Casimir equations in the necklace channel
We consider the conformal block decomposition in arbitrary exchange channels of a two-dimensional conformal field theory on a torus. The channels are described by diagrams built of a closed loop with external legs (a necklace sub-diagram) and trivalent ...

Inductive Constructions for Frameworks on a Two-Dimensional Fixed Torus [PDF]
An infinite periodic framework in the plane can be represented as a framework on a torus, using a $\mathbb Z^2$-labelled gain graph. We find necessary and sufficient conditions for the generic minimal rigidity of frameworks on the two-dimensional fixed torus $\mathcal T_0^2$.

Two-dimensional bifurcation analysis. [PDF]
Here, we illustrate the bifurcation diagram of the isolated thalamus with respect to the two key parameters and . The interaction between the currents incorporated into the thalamic module results in the emergence of two torus bifurcations via a blue ...

Wilson-line scalar as a Nambu-Goldstone boson in flux compactifications and higher-loop corrections
We study a scalar zero mode originated from extradimensional components of a gauge field in a six-dimensional theory compactified on a magnetized torus. We confirm it is a Nambu-Goldstone boson of the translational symmetry on the torus which is breaking

Near-extremal limits of warped CFTs
Warped conformal field theories (WCFTs) are two-dimensional non-relativistic systems, with a chiral scaling and shift symmetry. We present a detailed derivation of the near-extremal limit for their torus partition function.
