Two-phase thermosyphon loop for cooling outdoor telecommunication equipments

open access: yesApplied Thermal Engineering, 2013
Development of high bit rate services requires extension of the telecom network and then the power inside the France Telecom telecommunication outdoor cabinets. Traditional cooling systems through air forced convection become inefficient for high power supply.

Experimental investigation of two-phase thermosyphon loop for passive containment cooling

Applied Thermal Engineering, 2021
Abstract This article investigates the operating characteristics of a two-phase thermosyphon loop in a pressure vessel to simulate the operating state of the thermosyphon loop in a passive containment cooling system. In this study, water is used as the working fluid, and the filling ratio ranges from 40% to 65%.

ELECTRICAL FORCE EFFECT ON A CAPILLARY LOOP TWO-PHASE THERMOSYPHON

Heat Pipe Science and Technology, An International Journal, 2014
This paper shows a preliminary idea on the use of electrical field as circulation promoter in a single turned PHP. The main idea is using the already demonstrated capability of the electric force in redistributing the phases and changing flow pattern in two-phase flow.

Design of a two-phase loop thermosyphon for telecommunications system (I)

KSME International Journal, 1998
A two-phase loop thermosyphon system is developed for the B-ISDN telecommunications system and its performance is evaluated both experimentally and by visualization techniques. The design of the thermosyphon system proposed is aimed to cool muliichip modules (VICM) upto heat flux of 8 W/cm 2 .

Design of a two-phase loop thermosyphon for telecommunications system (II)

KSME International Journal, 1998
A computer simulation is performed for a two-phase loop thermosyphon for the B-ISDN telecommunications. The aim of this code development is to provide capabilities to predict the affects of many variables on the performance of the proposed TLT system using different empirical correlations obtained from the literature for the evaporation and ...

Geyser boiling phenomenon in two-phase closed loop-thermosyphons

International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2017
Abstract Geyser boiling is experimentally investigated in two-phase closed loop-thermosyphons, consisting of two parallel condensers and a shared evaporator. Heat sink conditions at each condenser vary from forced to natural convection in a multitude of thermal arrangements.
