Testing theories of labour market matching [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper estimates a model of two-sided search using micro-level data for a well-defined labour market. It examines the assumption of random matching and contrasts it with the stock-flow (or non-random) matching model of Coles and collaborators.

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Two-Sided Matching with Bounded Rationality: A Stochastic Framework for Personnel Selection

open access: yesMathematics
Personnel selection represents a two-sided matching problem in which firms compete for qualified candidates by designing job-offer packages. While traditional models assume fully rational agents, real-world decision-makers often face bounded rationality ...

Employment by Lotto Revisited [PDF]

open access: yes
We study employment by lotto (Aldershof et al., 1999), a matching algorithm for the so-called stable marriage problem. We complement Aldershof et al.'s analysis in two ways.

Developing evidence‐based, cost‐effective P4 cancer medicine for driving innovation in prevention, therapeutics, patient care and reducing healthcare inequalities

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The cancer problem is increasing globally with projections up to the year 2050 showing unfavourable outcomes in terms of incidence and cancer‐related deaths. The main challenges are prevention, improved therapeutics resulting in increased cure rates and enhanced health‐related quality of life.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

A Matching Model for Construction Subcontractor Selection in Engineering Bid Decisions Using Ordinal Priority Approach

open access: yesJournal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering
In recent years, the two-sided matching theory has been applied in various fields. Its influence in the engineering field is becoming more and more significant.

Algorithmic Approach of Majority Voting With Agents’ Inclusiveness for Facility Resource Matching

open access: yesIEEE Access
In a two-sided matching with preferences, an agent has preferences over the agents from the other side. In a head-to-head election between any two matchings, the agent votes for the matching with a better allocation in the pairing based on its preference.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.
