Substrate specificity of Burkholderia pseudomallei multidrug transporters is influenced by the hydrophilic patch in the substrate‐binding pocket

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Multidrug transporters BpeB and BpeF from the Gram‐negative pathogen Burkholderia pseudomallei have a hydrophilic patch in their substrate‐binding pocket. Drug susceptibility tests and growth curve analyses using an Escherichia coli recombinant expression system revealed that the hydrophilic patches of BpeB and BpeF are involved in the substrate ...

The Study of Lattice Structure of Bipartite Stable Matchings With Flexible Agents

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, we obtain a set of pairwise stable outcomes in two-sided hybrid matching market with price externalities. In this market, the valuation of agents depends upon money.

Two-sided matching with partial information [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the fourteenth ACM conference on Electronic commerce, 2013
The traditional model of two-sided matching assumes that all agents fully know their own preferences. As markets grow large, however, it becomes impractical for agents to precisely assess their rankings over all agents on the other side of the market.

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Multiple attribute two-sided matching decision-making model with uncertain preferences considering prospect value factors and its application

open access: yesSystems Science & Control Engineering
This paper mainly focuses on the issue of multiple attribute two-sided matching decision-making with uncertain preference and unknown attribute weights under the consideration of prospect value factors and proposes a new decision-making method that ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Partnership-Enhancement and Stability in Matching Problems [PDF]

open access: yes
In two-sided matching problems, we consider "natural" changes in prefer- ences of agents in which only the rankings of current partners are enhanced. We introduce two desirable properties of matching rules under such rank- enhancements of partners.

Quantile Stable Mechanisms

open access: yesGames, 2021
We introduce a new class of matching mechanisms—quantile stable mechanisms—that generate stable matchings that can be seen as a compromise between sides of a two-sided market.
