Color Vision in the Adult Female Two-Spotted Spider Mite

Science, 1966
Responses of the summer form of the adult female two-spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch (Acarina: Tetranychoidea) placed in near-ultraviolet and green light are photopositive. The independent variation of these responses requires the presence of separate receptor systems.

Two-Spotted Spider Mite Control, 1974

Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1978
Abstract ‘U&I Hybrid 8’ sugarbeets were grown in Esquatzel fine sandy loam soil at Sunnyside, Washington, and ‘Russet Burbank’ potatoes were grown in Sagehill silt loam soil at Quincy, Washington. Sugarbeet plots were 6 rows wide (22 inches between rows) and 50 ft long, and the potato plots were 3 acres in size.

Biogenic amines in the two‐spotted spider mite

Archives of Insect Biochemistry and Physiology, 1994
AbstractWhole body extracts of the two‐spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch) were analyzed using a 16‐channel electrochemical array high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)‐based detection system that allows the simultaneous isolation and identification of a variety of biogenic amines.

Apple, Control of Two-Spotted Spider Mite, 1976

Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1978
Abstract Seven aearicides were applied dilute using a Bean sprayer with hand-held lance on December 24, 1975; about 12 litres was applied per tree. Five trees were sprayed with each acaricide in a completely randomized design with single tree plots. The trees were square planted with 6.5 m centres.

Physiological Responses of Cotton to Two-Spotted Spider Mite Damage

Crop Science, 2004
Spider mites are important pests of cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.), capable of dramatically affecting growth, yield, and fiber quality. This study investigated the physiological response of cotton leaves to feeding damage by the two‐spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch) in two experiments in the field over two seasons.

Two Spotted Spider Mite Control, 1990

Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1991
Abstract This test was designed to compare ABG-6277A to Kelthane for control of two-spotted spider mite. Delta Pine 50 was planted 8 May in plots 8 rows × 40 ft long. The plots were arranged in a randomized complete block design with 4 replications.

DWARF Schefflera, Two-Spotted Spider Mite Control, 1982:

Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1983
Abstract Fenpropathrin and Morestan were evaluated for spider mite control on dwarf schefflera. Plants were grown in an amended pine bark medium in a glass greenhouse and hand irrigated as needed. Treatments were applied Apr 26 to all leaf surfaces to run-off with hand-pumped, compressed air sprayers.
