Two-spotted spider mite in Cyprus: ineffective acaricides, causes and considerations
Journal of Pest Science, 2008Growers of greenhouse roses in Cyprus have recently reported failures of several acaricides against two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch). To verify the cause of these failures we evaluated the effectiveness of seven acaricides against two rose and two cucumber spider mite populations in the laboratory. The acaricides included in our study

Control of Two-spotted Spider Mite by Phytoseiulus persimilis
Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology, 2001Abstract Two-spotted spider mites, Tetranychus urticae Koch have been a problem for many years. A broad approach to population management is needed. – Hybridization between greenhouse strains of T. urticae and introduced strains may result in a strain with different life-history traits.

Host-race formation in the two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae)
1992The two-spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch (Acari: Tetranychidae), has been reported to be found on numerous host-plant species throughout the world. It is an important pest of many agricultural crops, including tomato and cucumber, which are often grown simultaneously, in neighbouring compartments, or alternately, in the same compartment ...

Control of Two-Spotted Spider Mites on Strawberries, 1971
Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1978Abstract Plictran was compared with a mixture of Kelthane + Tedion. The variety ‘Midway’ was selected because of its susceptibility to attack by mites. Both treatments were applied with a Kinkelder (Model - Marvel) low volume row crop sprayer with a 3-sided row %fop head. Sprays were applied at the rate of 10 gal/acre at 15 psi.

European Red Mite and Two-Spotted Spider Mite Control on Apple Trees1
Journal of Economic Entomology, 1968In a replicated experiment, 25 acaricide treatments were tested for effectiveness in control of the European red mite, Panonychus ulmi (Koch), and the two-spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch on apple trees. Plictran® (tricycohexyltin hydroxide), Azodrin® (3-hydroxyl- N -methyl-cis-crotonamide dimethyl phosphate), CS-19851 (isopropyl 4, 4 ...
