Two-Stage Chain Sampling Inspection Plans with Different Sample Sizes in the Two Stages [PDF]
A further generalization of the family of 'two-stage' chain sampling inspection plans is developed - viz, the use of different sample sizes in the two stages. Evaluation of the operating characteristics is accomplished by the Markov chain approach of the earlier work, modified to account for the different sample sizes.

Providing a mathematical optimization model for the multi-product supply chain despite the possibility of supplier disruption under sanctions (Case Study of Refinery Repair Industries) [PDF]
In this study, an optimized mathematical model for a multi-product supply chain with the possibility of supplier disruption under sanctions is presented. A supply chain involves the alignment of companies that market products or services.

Quantitative estimation of sampling uncertainties for mycotoxins in cereal shipments [PDF]
Many countries receive shipments of bulk cereals from primary producers. There is a volume of work that is ongoing that seeks to arrive at appropriate standards for the quality of the shipments and the means to assess the shipments as they are out-loaded.

We propose a sampling plan intended for medium size cities. The proposed plan begins with a two-stage pilot plan, which helped us to obtain a better estimation of the final sample size when a ratio estimator is used.

In this research work we introduce a new sampling design, namely a two-stage cluster sampling, where probability proportional to size with replacement is used in the first stage unit and ranked set sampling in the second in order to address the issue of ...

ROI-Based LiDAR Sampling Algorithm in on-Road Environment for Autonomous Driving
As the acquisition of laser range measurements such as those from light detection and ranging (LiDAR) sensors requires a considerable amount of time, to design an effective sampling algorithm is a critical task in numerous laser range applications.

Estimation of Some Proportion in a Clustered Population
The aim of this paper is to show that the traditional design-based estimator for the proportion of population units, associated with at least one subunit having an attribute of interest using the two-stage sampling design, is biased.
