Schur-Convexity of the Mean of Convex Functions for Two Variables
The results of Schur convexity established by Elezovic and Pecaric for the average of convex functions are generalized relative to the case of the means for two-variable convex functions. As an application, some binary mean inequalities are given.

Model-based estimation of small area means can lead to reliable estimates when the area sample sizes are small. This is accomplished by borrowing strength across related areas using models linking area means to related covariates and random area effects.

On the equality of two-variable general functional means [PDF]
AbstractGiven two functions$$f,g:I\rightarrow \mathbb {R}$$f,g:I→Rand a probability measure$$\mu $$μon the Borel subsets of [0, 1], the two-variable mean$$M_{f,g;\mu }:I^2\rightarrow I$$Mf,g;μ:I2→Iis defined by$$\begin{aligned} M_{f,g;\mu }(x,y) :=\bigg (\frac{f}{g}\bigg )^{-1}\left( \frac{\int _0^1 f\big (tx+(1-t)y\big )d\mu (t)}{\int _0^1 g\big (tx ...

Two-Variable Type 2 Poly-Fubini Polynomials
In the present work, a new extension of the two-variable Fubini polynomials is introduced by means of the polyexponential function, which is called the two-variable type 2 poly-Fubini polynomials.

Analytic Representation of Maxwell—Boltzmann and Tsallis Thermonuclear Functions with Depleted Tail
The closed forms of the non-resonant thermonuclear function in the Maxwell–Boltzmann and Tsallis case with depleted tail are obtained in generalized special functions. The results are written in terms of H-function of two variables. The importance of the

Stolarsky Means in Many Variables
We give in this article two possible explicit extensions of Stolarsky means to the multi-variable case. They attain all main properties of Stolarsky means and coincide with them in the case of two variables.

Approximation of functions in generalized Zygmund class by double Hausdorff matrix
In the present work, we emphasize, for the first time, the error estimation of a two-variable function g ( y , z ) $g(y,z)$ in the generalized Zygmund class Y r ( ξ ) $Y_{r}^{(\xi )}$ ( r ≥ 1 $r\geq 1$ ) using the double Hausdorff matrix means of its ...

On the Solutions of Three-Variable Frobenius-Related Problems Using Order Reduction Approach
This paper presents a new approach to determine the number of solutions of three-variable Frobenius-related problems and to find their solutions by using order reducing methods. Here, the order of a Frobenius-related problem means the number of variables

We consider the positive-unlabelled multi-label scenario in which multiple target variables are not observed directly. Instead, we observe surrogate variables indicating whether or not the target variables are labelled. The presence of a label means that
