Our coaxial electrospinning system is capable of incorporating decellularized myocardial extracellular matrix in a core‐sheath configuration, creating nanofibrous scaffolds. These scaffolds, in turn, support the maintenance of functional cardiomyocytes adhered to the surface of these bioactive scaffolds.

We developed a fully human 3D tonsil cell culture system incorporating supportive stromal cells that better sustains and activates immune cells than conventional methods. The model generates stronger, more targeted antibody responses to viral antigens and vaccines, providing a physiologically relevant and entirely human platform for studying immune ...

Multidimensional Cellular Micro‐Compartments to Model Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Dormancy
Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is an understudied subtype of breast cancer that is susceptible to late recurrences. In this study, micro‐compartmentalization techniques spanning multiple dimensions, including 2D, pseudo‐3D, and 3D, are integrated to uncover the mechanisms underlying ILC dormancy, revealing the central role of p27Kip1.

Two-way shape memory effect of a TiNiHf high temperature shape memory alloy
Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2004The two-way shape memory effect in a Ti36Ni49Hf15 high temperature shape memory alloy (SMA) has been systematically studied by bending tests. In the TiNiHf alloy, the martensite deformation is an effective method to get two-way shape memory effect even with a small deformation strain.

Shape memory polymer composite structures with two-way shape memory effects
Materials Letters, 2012Abstract Shape memory polymers (SMPs) usually exhibit one-way shape memory effect. A simple and effective way to obtain two-way shape memory effect by SMP composite structures is proposed. The system consists of a SMP film with higher glass transition temperature Tg surrounded on another SMP cylindrical core with lower Tg.

Origin of two way shape memory effect in Cu-based shape memory alloys
Two-way shape memory effect (TWSME) should be trained by thermomechanical cycling or constrained aging. After constrained aging, oriented stress fields around precipitates and stabilized stress-induced martensite were found in Cu-Zn-Al alloys. The effect of these phases on TWSME has been studied by in-situ observations in TEM.

Two-way shape memory effect in Ni49Fe18Ga27Co6 ferromagnetic shape memory single crystals
Materials Science & Engineering A: Structural Materials: Properties, Microstructure and Processing, 2021Abstract The two-way shape memory effect (TWSME) induced in Ni49Fe18Ga27Co6 (at%) ferromagnetic shape memory single crystals is investigated in the present work. A short superelastic cycling in compression along the [001] direction at increasing temperatures up to 453 K, with a total of 18 cycles is enough to induce fully reversible TWSME with ...

Two way shape memory effect in NiTiHf high temperature shape memory alloy tubes
Acta Materialia, 2019Abstract Two-way shape memory effect (TWSME) in nano-precipitation hardened, Ni50.3Ti29.7Hf20 high temperature shape memory alloy (HTSMA) thin walled tubes and its thermal stability were investigated. Torsional TWSME was induced by repeated thermal cycling across their martensitic transformation under applied shear stress.
