Two-color optical charge-coupled-device–based pyrometer using a two-peak filter

Review of Scientific Instruments, 2010
A two-color optical charge-coupled-device (CCD)–based pyrometer was developed using a multipeak interference filter with a color CCD sensor to measure multicolor signals with specified wavelengths. The effective and simple method adjusts the fixed spectrum response characteristics of a color CCD to allow improved temperature measurements.

Effective Utilization of Radiation and Two-Color Pyrometers

JOM, 1965
Existing procedures are standardized and translated into a computer program. Studies were made of charging, blowing and chemical reactions, and the use of flame radiation pyrometry and two-color pyrometry.

An Analysis of Coal Particle Temperature Measurements with Two-color Optical Pyrometers

Combustion Science and Technology, 1989
Abstract Two-color optical pyrometers have been used to measure the temperature of reacting pulverized coal particles. An analysis of such measurements was performed to determine the effect of several possible conditions on the measured temperature. The conditions investigated were the use of a single photomultiplier to alternately measure the radiant ...

Two-color, two-dimensional pyrometers based on monochrome and color cameras for high-temperature (>1000 K) planar measurements

Review of Scientific Instruments, 2020
Two high-temperature 2D-pyrometers are described in this work. They are, respectively, based on the comparison of light intensities received by two monochrome cameras with narrow filters and the different color channels in a single color camera. The calibration procedure includes tests with thermocouples in flame flue gases and with a light bulb ...

The principle and analysis of accuracy of a two-color-emission-CT pyrometer

International Congress on Instrumentation in Aerospace Simulation Facilitie, 2003
An algorithm of a two-color-emission-CT (computed tomography) pyrometer is presented, and the measured values of temperature and density of burnt gases are discussed. The greatest advantage of this method is that it needs no blackbody as a reference source and only one window for each light path.

Reduction of methodological errors in determining the temperature of metals by two-color pyrometers

Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics, 2006
Two-color methods of optical control of the thermodynamic temperature of metals subjected to thermal treatment are analyzed. A technique for taking into account the nonmonochromaticity of the photoreception path is suggested and an analysis of methodological errors of two-color pyrometers with wide spectral ranges is performed by numerical simulation.
