Isomeric Ag14 Nanoclusters With Distinct Photophysical and Nanomechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ligand‐shell isomerism in atomically precise Ag14 nanoclusters is demonstrated to regulate core distortion, photoluminescence, and mechanical properties. Subtle changes in phosphine ligand arrangement drive a pronounced emission shift from green to red and alter crystal rigidity, revealing a direct structure‐property correlation that offers new design ...

Transposable Element–Driven PIEZO Mutation Enhances Locust Flight in Plateau Hypoxia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Why transposable elements (TEs) persisted or expanded in genomes remains a mystery. Using integrated analysis of TE macro‐ and microevolution in locusts, our results showed that thousands of TE insertions promoted widespread adaptive variation. Subfamilies of candidate adaptive TEs amplified and reshaped species‐level genomic architecture.

Human Dental Pulp Stem Cell Secretome Restores Ischemic Stroke–Impaired Motor and Cognitive Functions by Reprogramming Redox and Inflammatory Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human dental pulp stem cell secretome emerges as a cell‐free therapeutic strategy for ischemic stroke by reprogramming redox and inflammatory signaling. hDPSC secretome‐derived antioxidant and immunomodulatory factors suppress the TLR4–NOX–ROS–NF‐κB axis, reduce microglial inflammatory responses and apoptosis, and promote neurogenesis, angiogenesis ...

Programming Structural Symmetry and Emission in Low‐Dimensional Hybrid Perovskites via Time and Temperature

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrate programmable structural symmetry and emission in benzylammonium‐based low‐dimensional hybrid perovskites. Continuous shaking transforms orthorhombic platelets into a lower‐symmetry monoclinic phase with broadband emission, whereas thermal activation drives the reverse pathways toward a higher‐symmetry configuration resembling the ...

Stochastic Entanglement of Deterministic Origami Tentacles For Robust Robotic Grasping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces an origami tentacle gripper to robustly grasp objects‐in air, underwater, and even in orbital space‐by exploiting a synergy between local, deterministic deformation programming and global, stochastic entanglements. A single origami tentacle can be designed to coil with a simple tendon pull.

Stacking Pressure‐Driven Interfacial Dynamics in Anode‐Free Solid‐State Lithium Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using a three‐electrode setup, it is found that stacking pressure improves both anode and cathode interfaces but more effectively stabilizes the anode. Under low pressure, a sudden anode resistance rise indicates contact loss. Higher pressure delays this via Li creep and plastic deformation, maintaining interfacial contact.

VlPAG/DRN Microglia Drive Neuropathic Pain‐Induced Depression via a Defined Neuroimmune Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Peripheral nerve injury (SNI) induces neuropathic pain, activates midbrain microglia, and triggers an NLRP3–IL‐1β–dependent inflammatory cascade. IL‐1β signals through IL‐1R1 on vlPAG/DRN VGLUT2+ neurons (vlPAG/DRNGlu), inducing hyperexcitability and driving the vlPAG/DRNGlu→BNSTGABA circuit to produce the affective component of neuropathic pain ...

Revealing the Underlying Mechanisms in Performance Enhancement of Shellular Lattice Electrodes During Anion Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis Process

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Micro laser powder bed fusion enables architected nickel shellular lattice gas diffusion layers for anion exchange membrane water electrolysis. Among regular open cell geometries, the Gyroid lattice promotes bubble release, convective reactant replenishment and continuous electron transport, delivering low overpotentials, enhanced charge transfer and ...
