Photon-Sparse, Poisson Light-Sheet Microscopy

open access: yes
Light-sheet microscopy has revolutionized bioimaging by enabling approximately an order of magnitude reduction in specimen irradiance compared to confocal imaging.

Phase‐Engineered MoS2 Quantum Monolayer Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A new type of catalyst model—phase‐engineered MoS2 quantum‐monolayer catalyst (∼0.8 nm thick, < 6 nm in the lateral size; switchable freely among metallic 1T, semiconducting 2H, and a hybrid phase of metallic‐semiconducting 1T‐2H)—is reported. It can efficiently and stably drive photochemical H2, syngas and ammonia synthesis as a catalyst or co ...

Ionic Cocrystal Programming of Spatial Ionic Organization in Carbon Nitrides Enables Highly Efficient H2O2 Photosynthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ionic cocrystal‐programmed ionic organization establishes a general strategy for electrostatic programming in polymeric photocatalysts. ABSTRACT Controlling the spatial organization of ions in polymeric photocatalysts remains a fundamental challenge for optimizing charge transport and catalytic selectivity in solar‐driven hydrogen peroxide (H2O2 ...

Entangled-photon microscopy

open access: yes, 1997
All forms of microscopy that have previously been developed rely on classical sources of light, which are relatively noisy by virtue of the photons arriving randomly in time and position.

Helicity‐Defined Analog Conductance States in Chiral Perovskite Synapses

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Chiral perovskite synapses convert the handedness of circularly polarized light into persistent analog memory during electrical programming. An optimized n = 3 structure combines strong helicity selectivity with low read noise, enabling 72 distinct conductance levels.
