Modelling Suicide‐Related Communication Dynamics: A Socio‐Cybernetic Framework for Governance

open access: yesSystems Research and Behavioral Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Suicide‐related phenomena (SPS) are often approached through individual‐level risk factors or moral framings, yet their population‐level dynamics depend critically on how ‘suicide’ becomes observable, circulates and is governed across functionally differentiated systems.

Tailoring Microstructure and Hardness in Maraging 300 Steel via 2.4 wt.% Niobium Addition and Controlled Aging Treatments

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
High Nb (2.4 wt.%) addition to Maraging 300 steel drives lattice distortion and nanoscale Nb–Mo‐rich precipitation, confirmed by energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy mapping (Mo ~5.4 wt.%, Nb ~2.5 wt.%). Nanoindentation reveals strong matrix hardening (H >4.8 GPa) at 480°C aging, while 560°C induces ~1.92 vol.% reverted austenite, enabling tunable ...

A method for determining the performance of formulas for calculating the crack width and spacing in reinforced concrete elements

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract Numerous studies have been conducted to determine the performance of formulas for calculating crack width and spacing in reinforced concrete structures. Generally, these studies pay limited attention to the application areas of those formulas and how to compare different representations of the crack width and spacing.

Mixing Modes of Linguistic Description in Categorial Grammar

open access: yes, 1995
Recent work within the field of Categorial Grammar has seen the development of approaches that allow different modes of logical behaviour to be displayed within a single system, something corresponding to making available differing modes of linguistic ...

Tailoring Model‐Based Systems Engineering for Sub‐100 g PlanarSats: A Power‐First View Stack

open access: yesSystems Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper addresses how to apply model‐based systems engineering (MBSE) to ultrasmall planar satellites under severe power and resource constraints. PlanarSats are sub‐100‐gram spacecraft built as single printed‐circuit boards where the same surface must host both electronics and solar cells, so power generation, geometry, and component ...

Modifying (the grammar of) adjuncts : an introduction

open access: yes, 2003
One aspect of the progress being made is that the focus of attention has widened. Adverbials, though still the heart of the matter, now form part of a much larger set of constituent types subsumed under the general syntactic label of adjunct; while ...

Type-Logical and Hyperedge Replacement Grammars

open access: yes, 2008
This article gives a much more detailed account of my TAG+ paper. It identifies fragments of the multimodal Lambek calculus and the Lambek-Grishin calculus for which we can have polynomial parsing by giving a hyperedge replacement grammar for proof nets in these fragments.
